wagel wagel 와글 와글

It's a neighborhood party held at the height of spring.
Families flocked to the venue to experience lots of activities.
Drawings made by kindergarten kids were being shown around the park.
A different way to show off kid's works.
it's hot...I know, dear.
Escorts helped ease the traffic around the venue so as to give a sense of safety for both the cars and visitors to the party.
....and after the party, the girls met their Eonni who later took them to the cat's cafe.

Dedicated to DJ Rain...

Today he officially left Korea~his second home~for Indonesia. .for good. These are some pictures I collected during our encounter upon encounter in Korea.
First...Spring 2012. Ttukseom.park.
... we sort of realized that we worked at the same place.... WR.
Rain. Wulan.me. mbak Ulfa. And Windy.
..As time went by, we got used to seeing Rain covering his face whenever we got  group pics...
hmm...I think.we just had our diner at Youido for some occasion...barely reremembered it. Oh...he did make a peace sign, though.
It happened again. @Bali Bistro, Sincheon.
Gee...what's gotten into Rain?^^
He did it again.@ Seven Springs...when we were having ...hmmm was it Year-End diner?
Okay....old familiar faces ....
RAIN...okay we got your fingers!!!
This was the time when we celebrated Rain's exhibition @Insadong.
Sure...we're proud of being there...witnessing the true existence of an artist among us.
Gee..it's been two years...
Remember how far you've accomplished, Rain.
in front of the gallery where he participated in the art exhibition.
.......
It was....overwhelming. Dj Rain's last day and last recording session at KBS Indonesia. I simply saw the print out of his last script of Bahana Lagu Korea at the studio.
He was overwhelmed by the sheer thought of having to say goodbyes to everyone....yup...literally every one...
This is too precious to just let go off.
So I decided to take some pics and keep the original safe.
simply to show that DJ Rain will always be in the listeners' hearts...as always.
Borrowing his lines "사랑해요, 여러분"
We also want you to know that we feel the same way, too.
Sukses di mana pun dikau berkarir, DJ Rain.

Dawud:....my friend~ms. Ummi's son

it's been such a long time since I carried a baby in my arms...^^
We're having a dinner at a Japanese bistro restaurant nearby.
Along with mas Admad and mbak Ummi, our Malaysian friends...who came along with their adorably cute 10-month old baby...named Dawud.
I couldn't help myself from not trying to play with him. Even my daughter, Freya, never stopped trying to put her arms around him.
Yes...Dawud cheered up and enlivened up our dine-out atmosphere.

Cakar Ayam

Tulisanku memang perrrrsiiiiss kayak cakar ayam. Satu papan tulis pun terlihat kayak baru diinjak-injak kaki-kaki ayam yang tak tahu diri.
Edisi memoto tulisan sendiri di kelas begitu kelas usai.
Terpikir utk mengabadikannya.

Outdoor Class

we deliberately went out of the classroom and had our Sunday class at Youido Park.
we were having lunch at 전주콩나물국밥.my fave restaurant in Youido.
with friends...other tutors as well as our students of UT Korea~Indonesia Open University in Korea.
We're having our class ...right here on the spot where trees and flowers were blossoming.
picnic+studying at this place was simply okay....minus the commotion we saw around us ㅋㅋㅋ
Youido park in spring. 2015.
asik bersama-sama begini.
Tak ingat waktu...

Weekend Bike Ride- part 6: Back to Seoul

empty tummy. Tired. Exhausted. Only one solution: eat!!! Something! Something! But first...let us get some tickets to zap us away to Seoul....
We took off at Kwangun.Univ station....to have a quick lunch at 김밥천국. Afterwards ...we sort of lost....had no clue to where we were.^^
...but of course, Yuris knew where this was. As for me, the long red brick along the roas reminded me of some parts of Indonesia.
it was such a great day.
...as for our bikes, we rented them just for a mere 1,000 won for the entire day by ..of course, using our alien card as a guarantee.
저전거대여소 or bike rental can be found in some areas across and along ruvers in Seoul and its vicinities.
it has been such a grear day indeed.
alhamdulillah.

Weekend Bike Ride - part 5: Welcome to Uijeongbu City

the monorail track over the bridge and river...
lots of folks taking picnic under the passing monorail...
...a relaxed atmosphere. ...
Yup...we made it. 12-km bike ride.
Uijeongbu railway station.
Why were we there? *chuckles*
We took the train.....instead of riding our bikes again^^
finally we could ask someone to take our pic....with one big PLUS from her finger.^^
Oooppss....another one.
but..고맙습니다.
Right....we got our bikes onto the platform of the railway station.
Let's go home....to have some lunch.

Weekend Bike Ride - part 4

what we saw during our bike ride was amazing...mostly.
Not-so-typical-Korean-houses...
cherry trees in front of them are what made them.even.more.worth-looking.
...and oh...the colorful flowers...right within our camera-reach.^^
...so close that we're never getting tired of them.
white cherries at the back....
simply beautiful.
All found within the vicinity if these houses.
..along the bike track we took.
