Habis magriban, matiin komputer, lompat deh pulang. 보통 4시정도 퇴근할 수 있는데 오늘은 특별한 케이스이네. But..the fun part was that I could enjoy the night view around the subway station. Silly, eh?

Akhirnya kusempetin moto IFC Mall...tempat nongkrong en nonton film terrrdekeeet dari kantor. Hmm..actually I want to see the premiere of Robert Zemeckis' The Walk in IMAX 3D today. 근데...내일 발표가 있어가지고...못하죠!

Ok...saatnya turun ke dlm.stasiun jalur 9 yg 2 × seminggu bolak-balik kulewati. 

아...밤엔 이렇게 생겼구나. Oops...just when I clicked the camera...someone passed me by.

My feet....by the phone cam. *iseng tingkat dewa* 넘 신기하게  ...신나게 ...퇴근타임을 보냄.

9호선은 제가 제일 좋아하는 노선이다.

Memang jalur 9 ini mmg top bgt....paling gress en fresh. What's more?.there's Watsons inside..^~^

왓선에 가서 과자를 샀다.

What I like about Watsons is its endless sales everyday.  There's always something I could buy in a relatively and comparatively cheaaaaap price.

Layanan Masyarakat tg MERS

Memang ....MERS sedikit memporakporandakan semua hal yg kite tahu tg Korea. Syukurlah semua berangsur tenang. Tapi utk urusan pencegahan, tdk berhenti. Di berbagai sudut kota bnyk.ditemui leaflet atau poster utk mendidik.warga tg bahayanya MERS dan bagaimana mencegahnya.

seperti ini sengaja dibikin kartun agar lebih.tone down dan orang mau meliriknya.

Hmm..Something's Not Right

Or...am I the one who may not understand this?

I mean...how come that the signboard tells us 'The ....train IS ARRIVED.

"is arrived"???

Isn't it supposed to be either 'HAS arrived' or' is ARRIVING'???

Guess...the Seoul subway authority, especially the 6,7,8,9 line..should change this minor(?) error. IF...that IS an error. 

I could be wrong, though..er...could there be some other meanings behind this seemingly grammatical error??!!

Hmm....

the train is arrived!!! (oh, well). I'm not a native speaker of English, either.

On My Way To Work

There was a fire at Guro station and it made all subways on line 1 come late than usual. All subways ride got delayed or slowed down in their speed. 

Even when it run through the Han river, its speed was not in its normal pace...it was more like slowing down...so..I got a chance to take a picture while the train was on the move. 

Yeouido with its landmark "63 Building" was visible from afar. Just when I clicked my camera, Mugunghwa train was passing us by. 

In a split second, in a different track, KTX passed it by.

At first, I was taken aback by the sudden change of color.^^

It turned out to be another train passing by at the same time.

Then...off they went both ways. 

A clear view of 여의도 with its sky scrappers was visible once again.

I got to rush since I was already 15 minutes late.

But...in the end..I did enjoy the slow pace of the train, though.^^

An Ad on Subway that Caught My Attention

As usual, being a commuter on subway gives me (at times) an advantage of being able to notice some social changes that are happening right in front of me (Except ...when I am HOOKED into my smartphone!!!!!!!)--which is a terrible habit I got to admit:-)

As someone who loves taking picture, especially on stuffs that I found irresistibly interesting, I would snap out of it right away. LIKE THIS ONE.

wow, I never thought that there would be a public-service ad like this one.

( I hope I translate it well).

Anyhow..what I'd like to point out was that...through this ad, I came to realize that there are some people (victims) of Japanese mobilized labors (I wonder if it is the same as that of romusha?労務者? in Indonesia) period in Korea...who are yet to be acknowledged and appropriately supported or touched upon by the government.

Nganter Anak PP Sekolah Tiap Hari? Why Nottt

yah begitulah. kalo memang sudah diniatin pindah rumah yg agak jauh dari sekolah anak-anak, berarti ortunya harus siap nganter PP anak-anaknya ke sekolah.

tiaaaapp hari naik bis, subway, jalan kaki...well, 30 menit sih ditotal...tapi ya tetap saya..tiap hari bolak balik sudah 1 jam sendiri..

tpiiiiii kalao anaknya saja juga seneng dan sptnya 'nggak punya udel' (kalo orang Jawa bilang), ya gimana lagi... 

Tiap hari adaaaaa saja yang dia usilin karena harus nunggu subway.

Hari itu giliranku jemput si Freya dari TKnya. hmm...ternyata usilnya nggak ketulungan!! 

untung saja kalo siang hari...nggak begitu rame tuh stasiunnya...jadi bebaslah dia ngalor ngidul...muter sana muter sini......peciciiilaaan.

tapi ternyata...asyik juga ya...^^ 

ah iseng ah...moto sepatuku....:_)

A Worth-Knowing Trivial Fact about an Entrance of Subway Station (near where I live)

Taereung Station is one of the two subway stations which I can use to go somewhere by subway. Since it's been always busy and hectic, I never..well almost never take notice of what the exit may look like. People may not take notice of it either. (Or they do..and it's just me who don't). Well..okay...the other day I happened to walk sloooooowwwly and took my time to enjoy what it actually had to offer. 

First..I did not realize that there was this 'small' made-up garden right next to the fly-over above it. Well..of course I knew it..but never paid attention much compared to what I did this time. And..the unique thing about it was that it was located next to ...a fly over. People could just consider it as nothing special.....and could just pass it by without making a fuss about it. Of course some people do know its existence...but how come that I felt like I just realized it. 

I may be too oblivious. 

Okay..there is one more thing that I want to point out...there is a 포장마자 (pojangmaja) or a street vendor that sells 'street-style fast food'. I find it interesting because it reminds me of Indonesia's style 'warung pinggir jalan' that sells similar food. But, the thing is...it's about 9.15 a.m. and I noticed that this particular pojangmaja opened already. hmm..interesting. 

It just rained so the air was fairly fresh and I loved it.

Oh, there was also a public gym or fitness equipment near this area..but I didn't take a pic of it. For anyone who knows or who's been to Korea, this kind of facility is a usual sight in most parks across the country.

Hmm..There's Something Wrong with This...^^

On May 22 I took a snap picture of seemingly an ordinary sight at subway station. We can see a signboard telling passengers the current time, the name of stations, the length of time before incoming subways arrive, and stuffs like that. 

But...I noticed one peculiar thing back then...

the train from 응암 (Eungam) would arrive at the station (where I was) in 

99 minutes!!!!!

There must be something wrong with this.

But..I just shrugged. Oh well...computer DOES glitch!!

School: Back&Forth

We moved to Hwarangdae after a year and a half living at Imundong. The best thing about the new neighborhood is that it caters all the need easily. But, it is surely a bit farther from the kids' school. We thought of having the kids moved their school but...they do not want to. So....

everyday we have to go up and down the deep and long escalator at subway station... 

Then...waiting for the bus....that would take us to their school. The good thing is that we can take any bus since all of them go in the same direction to where the school is. Pretty   comfy, I suppose. 

A bright morning+smile on their face: a great combination to start the day even though it takes 15-20 minutes to school. 

Morning on weekdays are filled with subway --> bus routines.

But, hey...that's FUN.
