We're having a thanksgiving dinner...

..to celebrate Mas Chairul...

..on his PhD. Yup he did it.

..that's why...we all gathered here...

To celebrate the occasion.

All friends along with their families...

...ftom KIST and other universities came.

We got a chance to savor Uzbekistan food.

...right in the middle of Seoul.

..well..who would've thought that a Central Asian cuisine we found in Dongdaemun could this tempting.

...I managed to take some shots of the alley where we had our dinner.

...hmm..dumplingw yoghurt to dip.

...poat-dinner time. It's a really warm night.

Kids Day Off with Mas Chairul (part 2)

Salute to mas Chairul for having taken care of 5 kids...under his own arms. I wish I could be with them.

He sent me pics of what he did with the kids. For lunch...they had udong...and ice cream!!!

Okay....they did a good meal.

Eyra slurped.......her favorite dish.

Ghazy ....Ghania...well...they seemed to be interested in having what Eyra was eating.

yup..sharing was indeed fun.

Kids' Day Off with Mas Chairul

Sunday, 15 Feb. 2015. All moms were having a taqlim...a meeting^^ so where we'd send the kids?

I was thinking ...but...then I didn't feel quite well until mas Chairul came along...saving me.

He came over and took the kids out to his campus park.

KIST Korea Institute of Science and Technology 

Even...in this place. ..they did have fun.

Yup...my daughters are close friends of his sons and daughter.

Eyra and Ghania are close.

Freya and Ghazy are.

Well...winter did not dampen their playing spirit...at all.

In fact...they would spend time along together whenever they do.

고마워. ..mas Chairul.

Weekend: Bicycling Are We! (part 2)

The traffic-education lane for kids. Seoul does indeed provide a well-made bike-lanes for its citizens:) Like the one being used by the kids here. They could be as free as they want to make the best use of this facility..free of charge. 

The only drawback is that shelters. Yes, we need more shelters or canopy-like shelters for parents or anyone who want to take a rest while letting their kids do the biking acvitivies. 

 Hmmm..what a beautiful day it was. So beautiful that I almost forgot that the kids were around. While they're, I wandered around the area in search of any life-forms:) yep, sort of scanning the area for any amateurish picture-perfect moment...like this one. 

Eyra suddenly popped into my sight and it all woke me up to the point that I didn't know what I was doing in the area. 

But then..as I saw Freya on her bike, I just got a slap on my face for not being aware of the fact that Freya had been biking on herself...all along even when we didn't have a clue of where's she'd been. 

Sulkily she succumbed to my order....and I asked her to make sure that she stayed within my perimeter...^^ 

She looked so tiny in her tiny pink bike. As we're approaching back home again, she started to follow my 'order' of taking her bike slowly ..

while I was watching her.

Iftar + Birthday Feast @ Ramadan 2013

Indonesian students along with their families who currently live in Seoul, especially those studying at KDI, KAIST, KIST, HUFS, Korea University, Kwangwoon University, and others. 

We had our first gathering during Ramadan.

First, it's Fasting Month and what could be more exciting than meeting other Indonesian friends in Korea and celebrating the fasting? 

The first iftar we had: kolak: a coconut-milk cocktail. 

Well, apart from iftar feast, we were actually also attending the birthdays of two cute little sons of mas Khairul and mas Ismail. Mas Khairul (the only male visible in the picture) was the host of the occasion in the evening. 

Some mommies were busy pampering their babies in one room. 

While the Daddies were having their shares of their first iftar. Not enough space so..we got to split the occasion into two. 

We met at Mas Khairul's house @ Sangwolgok to have this dinner. 

It's one great evening to share.

Could not imagine that we managed to squeeze and jammed pack ourselves into this small room^^
