Makan Malam Lagi

Kamis mlm...sering banget....mkn mlm di luar sama pak Yang. Kali ini bersama dg rekan kami dg anak-anaknya....dan sementara itu....hanya Eyra yg kuajak.

untung ada tante Seonhee yg selalu menemani.....yg penting.....semua pembicaraan done over dinner. ...ronde pertama kelar!....kedua....pun dimulai...

Mana lg selain di cafe. Coffee Beans jd pilihan terdekat....dan selain cheese cake....maka chocolate mint latte. .jd pilihanku....yg freshly served cold pastinya.

Masih di Kediri: Foto Keluarga Lagi

Semenjak Bapak sakit, beliau lebih sering berbaring di kamar itu. Nyaman sepertinya buat Bpak. Semoga semakin dan selalu sehat, Pak. 

Hari itu, hari ke-5 saya berada di Kediri dan saya harus segera ke Jogjakarta sebelum balik ke Seoul. Untuk itu, mumpung Seonhee juga di Kediri dan ada adik sepupuku..si UCha...maka kami lagi-lagi foto keluarga. 

Tambahan keluarganya. 

apalagi ada si kunyil Bara dan Lala, kakaknya. Semoga Bapak dan Ibu selalu bahagia dikelilingi anak cucunya. 

 

Setelah foto-foto, ibu seperti biasa pergi ke Masjid. Kali ini tentunya untuk tarawih. Ibu terlihat bersama keponakanku. 

Ok, hati-hati, Ibu. 

Wait...some intermezzos

Seonhee...what are you doing there?

She seemed to be thinking about something.

I was actually coming along to the Festival with her. But she was just busy taking phone business calls that she couldn't enjoy the whole festival.

I take a snapshot of the day. 

There goes my first intermezzo. 

Second: I didn't know who the man was, but he looked like he was a famous figure.

I could tell from the way people were like...greeting him and asking him for a picture^^ hmm (there goes my second intermezzo) 

I was directing my camera towards the Gyeongbukkung area...and all I could see was the 3rd intermezzo of the day.

The Then-Big Family of Pusat Studi Korea UGM

Yes, it was back then. All of us have gone separated ways now. Some still stay at the same office while most of us have gone either to other offices or like me and Seonhee...in Korea. And like Ms. Kang, she's in German now. well... 

I could not help but relieved to find this old pic back. It kinda brought me back to the memories I had at the office back home. 

Mr. Yuda, the guy in purple (the back row, the first guy on the left) is now the head of Korean Studies. 

Ms. Kang (the one on the left) is now in German. While ms. Loeloe (the one on the right) is still at the office as well as at the Pacific Asia Studies Center. 

Wachid (the green guy at the center) is now teaching at Korean Dept. back home. He graduated from Chulalongkorn Univ. Thailand and Seoul National University, Seoul. 

Ms. Seonhee (the white girl on the first row on the right) is now at the same university as I am now (HUFS) pursuing her Master Degree in Teaching Korean for Foreigners.  

The girl in red jilbab and hanbok is Dewi who is currently in charge of administrative affairs at the Center. and the woman right behind her is Ms. Novi, the former director of the Center for Korean Studies. 

What? I CANNOT use my Facebook UNLESS.....^^

During my stopover at Changi Airport, I felt the urge to keep myself updated or at least tell my wife how the trip was. It was such a relief to find so many available free internet PC almost everywhere within the airport. This is something that I need to salute the Changi management for doing so. ^^

BUt...But ..But...a very very funny thing occurred.. 

I was just about to open my Facebook account when FB kind of questioned or wondered or suspected or put a suspicion on me. I mean...I used to open my FB account in Korea and when I was about to open it via some computers in Changi...the fb account asked me this 'silly' yet 'rather-hard' quizzzzzzzz..... 

I got to be able to match and identify the pictures of my friends randomly selected by Facebook. I forgot how many..but I guess...I got to make 6 correct guesses out of 10 being bombarded onto the screen.

Some of the pictures that showed up: Of course, I know who she is: She's been one of my confidantes back then in Jogja..."Giartina" or Nana, how I affectionately call her.

Thanks, Nana..for showing up on the screen. 

Then....a good-to-be-true quiz...well..well..well..of course I know who she is, well, the funny part was that...the FB Account showed me with lots of faces on one picture so I got to make sure that the names listed below the pictures DO match or correspond to any FACE available.

That's the challenge.

Surely..I know...who she is... 

Min Seonhee...my neighbor and my teammate in HUFS. There is Eunbee, too. But, since Eunbee's name was not on the list, I assumed that it must be Seonhee that Facebook wanted me to acknowledge.

and I did. 

Then...mr. Fahmi Arif Tsani...my colleague back home at Gadjah Mada University. Of course I know who he is...after all he is also in Korea, studying. 

So, well done Facebook...for giving me such an interesting quiz just to make sure that it WAS 'I" who was about to open and use MY OWN account in Singapore from some nowhere computer at Changi Airport.
