Banwol Station...

Was riding the line 4 subway when my student called me. Looked like he got something important to discuss that he said he couldn't wait for another week to meet me.

So...I got off the train..and waited for him to meet me on my way home..which was then..practically speaking..I postponed my going-home trip...and got off at the nearest station. Banwol Station. 

which turned out to be quite a good choice.

I could see the vast green......and the air was relatively fresh...

hmm..what an afternoon.

First Day @ Wasuri

What? Eyra and Freya were holding the lace of a local dog they encountered? 

And they were running after her. 

then...they were taking a walk with her again. 

through the trodden path at the back of the village.

and going into the stream where we could .... 

take the moment... 

or the time to capture the gleaming reflection of afternoon sun... 

Looked like the kids enjoyed being there. 

Om Wawan with the kids...walking back home. 

Freya found a yellow/orange rose. 

Found a playground... 

one... 

two... 

three... 

four...

five... 

six...phew. 

Let's go home...and take a look around the neighborhood.   

bumped into some village inhabitant who greeted us warmly. 

had a chat or two over trivial stuffs in life. 

made us feel welcome... 

Back at home and ready for dinner: mie ayam is ready!!!

Morning Discovery^-^

Waking up early in the morning in Wasuri, Cheorwon, (just 3 km from North Korean Border). Yes..I was staying for one night in one of the villages in the border just to have a different experience after living in Seoul for almost 2 years.

Lived in a 200 inhabitants village.

And..this flower? wild flowers easily found on every way I looked near the farming where we stayed. 

A small creek with all of the plants and green grass...

and the hills....

what a soothing sight to our eyes..

It may look so trivial but..indeed it was a different feeling of having a morning walk in the  village.

Dynamic Busan: (part 36): Makgeolli

Continuing my previous post on Makgeolli making experience. 

After we mixed all of the ingredients, we put them ito a bottle jar and ready to put some water into it..

Some teams were still busy mixing the makgeolli ingredients..

And some were already on their last part of making the makgeolli: the water's inside the jar and what we needed to do was to close it tightly...

and they would look like this.

Now ...back to the rice wine cupcakes again. See the shimmering moisture sprouting from the bamboo oven?

Once again..this is what they looked like. the texture itself is quite traditional-looking cake, right?

worth to try.

I'm a bit numb of having to stand....for a couple of hours...so why not take a chance of putting on a jibsin or Korean traditional slippers.

We finished our experiences of making rice wine cupcakes and makgeolli with a smile.

This was the picture I took just outside the very place where we made our cupcakes. It really was rural, right? But with a small touch of putting a coach overlooking the view, what a life! It was such a nice way to spend an evening there...^^
