Bali Bird Park (part 1)

The first place we visited was Bali Bird Park. It boasts itself as 'Heaven on Earth'. hmm ...too big a phrase to deliver..but, well..since we hadn't seen anything just as yet...we didn't know what to expect. 

We're about to venture into a park full of birds ...as many as (almost I guess) 1,000 birds  of 250 different species... 

with that alone, we're excited to see what the park had to offer for its visitors. But, first..we're at the hatchery....and saw Rio (Macaw) that my daughters (are) getting fond of.

Freya got interested in finding out the kinds of birds she's looking at. Hmm she couldn't read, yet..so I was wondering what she's reading....

Then, we got a chance to take pics with the birds. It's free..we could use our own camera and didn't have to pay for it. But, for anyone wishing to have a stamped or customized picture, they could just pay later on for the printed one(s). 

now..we're waiting our turn...

Bali (part 1): Arrival

Yeaaach...Baliiiiiiiiiii!!!!! We landed at Ngurah Rai Airport at around 10 am after 1.5 hour flight from Jogjakarta. 

After negotiating with one of the car rentals about the price for one-day tour, we ended up agreeing the price set at Rp 450,000 (around 40,000 Won) for 10-hour tour!!! ^^ 

We were about to pass the sea-highway that connects the airport and Kuta--one of the main tourist spots--in Bali.

Yep, we paid all the additional cost like parking fee, toll-gates. (excluding fuel since it's included in the price we agreed on). 

It's so long and we didn't see a single car...just yet. 

and..with this gate in sight, we're ready to explore Bali for our 12-hour transit before leaving for Seoul. Yeaaaaaach.
