With My Students

We met up at Hongdae...on purpose. Yup...since I happen to be their supervisor for the final assignments and...it's been a while since we met....

So...this was how it worked out: I asked them out over lunch...to discuss about the progress they're making^^ yup...as the students of Indonesia Open University, they're required to write the final paper to graduate.

Pipin...Sahid....and one more. ..Agus..(who hadn't shown up until we finished our lunch^^....)are some of my students.

It's actually......a light lunch...since we didn't want to waste time at the restaurant....

...yup...we moved to a nearby cafe where we finally talked over their assignments for about 2 hours!

It's enough to give them some booster to uplift their spirit in completing the assignments .

Winter. Coffee. Hongdae. Warmth. Final paper. Friendship.

I do appreciate their eagerness and dedication to work and study in Korea....and that's why I have to help them in.any.way.I.can.

Aris and Hari's Visit

My students at UT: Aris and Hari paid a visit to our home to bid adieu, for they would go home for a month to celebrate Aid ul Fitr at home. Sure...I'm happy to know that they'd spend holidays with their families back home. 

Wefie: oh...tentu sj mrk semalam tlh inap di rumah..berbuka dan sahur bersama. 

ok...잘 갔다 와. Hope to have a great one-month long holiday.

Sahur .....Sahur....?

Sahur....the starting point of fasting each day for anyone fasting. Today...two of our students ...Aris & Hari...paid a visit to our home...

with one thing set in their mind:makannn makaaan^^

I know...I know....they're about to celebrate Lebaran back home starting from next week...and that's why they intentionally came by our house to tell me just that!

Noraebang at the End of Semester for UT Students

It's my first time....having the end-of-semester party with my students of UT Korea.

Where did we go?.Noraebang! It has Indonesian songs...a lot.

so...we only used the room.for one hour.

Not a minute..too soon....we sang songs in turn....with gusto^^

Letting off the steam.after the head-splitting exams!!!

Since we didn't drink, we ordered some fruits, instead.

빠질 수 없는Dangdut songs ...of course!

Indonesian, Western, and Korean songs...were all lining up to be sung!!!

I was soaked into the atmosphere!

...and all fun broke loose!

,,,omg,,,

We sang in.circle....took turn to grab the mike...belting out our pitch perfect notes!

...or....a solitaire...

a...soon-to-be-going-home Oza.....sang his heart out!!!

Unbelievably good!

All in all...this has been a great time with you, guys.

It's been wonderful.

All the best for us.

Today being the last meeting this semester....brought us back again for selfie-ing. With some students of our Translation 4 class.
