Enroute to Petite France

Spotted a BALI floating restaurant!! Yes, I was on a bus-ride that took us from Cheongpyeong station to Petite France.  

During a 30-minute ride, I was a bit sleepy but the sight of Chuncheon lake kinda woke me up and made me sober--again! 

The barren trees along the road seemed to 'ignite' my curiosity and drenched me into questions as to whether I had made the right choice of going to Chuncheon area at this period...thinking that the view must've been breathtaking--considering it'd been Spring time---or so I thought. 

But..never mind...the view of the lake itself was worthy of the price

 I paid for the trip alone.  

#Gee, I wished I could just remove those cables!!! 

#cables and more cables...seemed to obstruct the view. But, well..what could we do? After all, there IS an electricity plant near the lake. So???

Easily found in any other near-temple site across Korea.

wishing stones stacked by those who wish to have some wishes fulfilled.

Well, we went 'into' the river to see how they really looked like.

and...don't tell me you're making one, too:)

It's pretty neat to see how they're so simply stacked without falling.

Sunken Garden??? @ Garden of Morning Calm (part 8)

Should've read the information board to find out what it was.  

now..this is what I mean by 'sunken garden' 

and...before entering the garden, weird-looking trimmed plantations were visible.

Surely, they're attractive, right.

With a map in hands, we're ready to explore this what-the-heck-was-this garden. 

And how did it go? 

well, let's see...I let the kids finish their ice cream, first.

yes, it's getting warmer.

Okay, at first, we might get lost if we do not tag along the information board.

Morning calm walk, Korean garden, Best course, Perennial garden. 

A colorful garden below: that's why they call it 'sunken garden'? 

All in all, we found it worth-going-down visiting. 

Once again, to give a sense of imbued colorful autumn sensation, the management deliberately made the garden in such a way that visitors might get enticed by sheer colors of the garden.

well, nice touch, though.

Garden of Morning Calm (part 7)

Some other people, in group or couple, were also having a relaxing time of their own. 

As for the kids, they started to run again.. 

But, before that, I asked Eyra to take our picture.

"Wait, Mom...what are you looking at?" 

We're having a chit-chat... 

Others were seen walking down and up the hills.

Yes, we got to explore other parts of the garden, too. 

But, first..let us take a rest here, first. 

A rest? I don't think, so. Freya and Eyra were rolling on the grass.

Well, they asked for it.  

They saw other kids did it, so did they. 

We're having a picnic, indeed.

A great outing, right, gals? 

hmm...Eyra seemed to be distracted by something.

Yep, there's a helicopter swirling above us. 

But, never mind..let's just have fun. 

We're making a short-video of us going round and round on the spot till our head's spinning like...very fast...enough to make us dizzy.

Garden of Morning Calm (part 6)

This is the very place that we loved so much when we visited the garden.

As soon we laid our eyes on the green vast lawn like this...our heart went boom. 

The kids went crazy because they could run and play around ....freely. 

Who doesn't want to run free like this?^^ 

Freya and her sister were running around....endlessly.:-) 

The great outdoor, good surrounding, and great weather... 

it couldn't get any better than this. 

Other groups of people just spread their picnic mat and sat down there...talking, eating, enjoying the scenery. 

and making the best of their time: simply being there. 

just like what the kids did.

We're so happy to have decided to come here.

Garden of Morning Calm ( part 4)

we're going up and up...to reach ... 

the glass house that housed some plants..we didn't know what.

Freya, dancing, being the first to reach the top stair. 

While their Mom was still trying to figure out how she would continue climbing up.

we found an artificial water spring where the water would fall down 

forming a waterfall.  

A typical twisted-and-swirled branched tree of any Korean garden. 

Inside the glass house. 

it's warm. 

it turned out that we didn't find a thing inside. well, of course, there were. Mostly they're rocks or granite or any other rock with desert plants.

well, I am not sure either. 

we're back again... 

and walked across (another) artificial stream that seemed to be running out of water due to autumn...or was it adjusted so as not to waste the water from over-spilling or over-flowing? 

Another twist of trail, we ended up meeting another walk-up stairs that would lead us to...
