HoteL RaY and ITS Vicinities

Ship-shaped hotel that stood among the others, especially with its unmistakable rendition of what a ship would like like when it's aglow.

The eateries were just around the corner, even the mart which opens 24 hours (supposedly).

Then..of course, the beach was just 3-minute walk from the hotel.

and..not to mention the cafe and other restaurants that dotted the neighborhood.

Yup, this was what we saw as we approached the front facade of the hotel.

It sure did look like a ship..stranded on the ground.

simply because it resembled my name....we ended up staying at this hotel...

and...got a huge discount..ㅋㅋㅋ

Eulwangri Beach part 1: Sunrise

The first day of our vacation at Eulwangri Beach. We explored the territory..^^

..which means..no other thing but the surrounding..where we met these rock formation.

...so big enough for us to climb up...and made them into a good spot to take some snaps.

back to the beach...we finally saw the sunrise..

...enough time to play around with the boat "stranded" on the beach..

a game of tug of war..with the fishing boat laid ashore..

boy..it's a simple beauty....in the morning. I know that it's nothing sort of spectacular or anything..nope. but, the rarity of this kind of sight was the only thing that made us appreciate what we saw that morning.

Then..what's next?

running wild....along the shore...

forgetting that it's still officially winter. NOT summer.

Of course, the weather and the scenery were enough to captivate anyone there.

a feeling of being free....and refreshed...

in the first day of long Seollal holiday.

in the morning....greeted by the sunset....

Gangneung Trip (part 8)

It's almost dusk and the sun's setting...and more people were 'lurking' onto the street upfront the beach.... 

This is one of the good ways to enjoy the Gyeongpo beach: strolling along the pedestrian located in the middle of green park and the street that separates the stores along the beach line. I may not be good in describing it in words, but this is what it looked like when I took this pic. 

It's passed 6 p.m. and no one's allowed to be IN the water, let alone swimming. Yes, I remembered at the 태안 /Taean beach at the western coastal of Korean peninsula last year. ...the similarity was that...as the time strikes 6 p.m. a voice coming out of the loudspeaker politely asking all vacationers NOT to be in the water. 

and this was the result. NO ONE was at the beach.^^ 

lifeguards went home. and only lifebuoys were seen floating on the waters. 

Even, parasols were folded and wrapped inside that YELLOW temporary pile up.

the wind's getting more and more chilling....

* Eyra and Freya were sitting on the beach sand.... 

enjoying their snack....& I know it's shivering..especially when they drenched wet...^^ 

Night's lurking..and it's time to have some dinner.
