Meeting @ Pocheon

We finally arrived at Pocheon, a lake resort about 2-hour drive from Seoul.
Parked our car and did some shopping: yup, we're going to have some barbecue and dinner together...with 20 other friends.
Selfie-monopod IS indeed helpful for being narcissistic.
more narcissistic pictures.
and more...
and more....:( ^^
and..worse....:(
*anyway..this was the very place we had our barbecue. Wait..that's not the main point, 'coz we came here to gather with all members of UT Radio Korea. We're consolidating our team by having a retreat in this place.
Some of the guys were ready to prepare for the dinner.
Banner's done. And..the tables ready...
the chairs, the tent, the barbecue...?
dada....in about 1 hour or so...we're all here.
the crew members of UT Radio Korea. We're DJ's. Yes...we're students and DJs on our own radio.
This Chuseok was really something, right, guys?
The time when we had discussion session and well..some mentoring...
While the others were preparing for more food. Oh, this one's nasi goreng...for breakfast.
In the early morning, we're ready to take another team-building program---> RAFTING.
Yup, this consolidating and team-building program was designed in such a way to unite us all. Through what? RAFTING included.
(more on next posts).

Rafting @ Hantan River (part 4)

With red helmet, orange life-jacket, yellow row, and bright boats, we dared ourselves to challenge our limit in the midst of unusually hot early Autumn.
Yup, we had a CHuseoK holiday in Gangwondo....for a rafting experience.
One of the cool (literally) activities during our 2.5 hour rafting experience was a slash and a plunge into the cool water.
We just couldn't resist from not plunging
ourselves into the river since it seemed to be an exhilarating experience.
And we didn't regret it at all.

Rafting @ Hantan River (part 2)

After rowing our boat for about 1 hour or so, our guide guided us to take a break
we parked our boat on river bank with loads of rock formations that looked more like ....well the pics tell it all.
a great spot, indeed.
I think it's one of the cool spots that worth-visiting.
Well, at least for a photo session.
thirteen of us would never turn this opportunity down.
What a way to spend Chuseok Holiday.

순담계곡 Sundam Valley

One of the must-visit places in Cheorwon, Gangwon-do/province: Sundam Valley.
Forgive my camera..for not being able to catch the picturesque details of the valley...
It is one of the famous places for rafting or just enjoying the landscape--which characteristically shaped the valley.
For those who do not want to go into the valley, a viewpoint up above the valley was set up for anyone to enjoy the scenery.
I just saw a rafting boat which was deliberately overturned so as to make the rafters overboard the raft. I remembered the last time I had a rafting experience, too, back home. We did the same.
a zoomed-in cave on a cliff...hmm looks like so scary-looking visage was protruding....from inside..
*That's the place where I zoomed it out..
Rocks..rocks..rocks...big and huge ones dotted...the landscape of...Sundam Valley.
A feat in itself for the kids to climb and dash through them...
That's the hotel on top of the cliff and iron stairs...
Mbak Ulfa was like selling an ad on a coke...she's holding.
Help me out....
with ms. Yuliana who took us here. Her relative is the one who supervises and manages the hotel and the rafting package in the region.
Horray...we made it.
Wait...where was I? I need to be 'in' the picture, too.
