Lotte World Mall: Soft-Opening

Like a moth drawn into the lights....people were flocking into this newly-opened Lotte World Mall.

With all the festivities around, lots of popped-out character balloons were being displayed. 

It's huge. I guess this is by far the huge-est(?) mall in Korea. 

I mean, the plaza itself was vast enough to go around.. 

with the nearly completed Lotte Tower in its vicinities...with cranes and all.. 

but, never mind that. The kids' main attractions were none other than the various types of Pororo in his style imaginable. 

What could be more endearing than these, eh? The kids themselves? 

Oh, boy.... 

and..not to mention the huge inflatable balloons of Pororo, Patty, and Larva characters....^^ 

and..Tayo bus, too. I mean...all of these were for the soft-opening of the mall? c'mon. I wonder if they're a permanent exhibition. But, unlikely...

Eyra..you still like Pororo, eh? 

I think...this is only one-fifth of Lotte World Mall...

Dancing 9: Season 2

It's one of the off-air show highlighting the success of Korean TV's reality show called 'Dancing 9'--which is essentially Korea's answer to 'So You Think You Can Dance'

The off-air show at the IFC Mall atrium was packed with lots of fans to the show.

I was on my way home from work when I got busted by the huge crowd of people blocking my way to the subway. 

I couldn't just let go the commotion and the uproar that almost deafened me to the point of 'not wanting to be around the cheering crowd' but..boy ...the energized atmosphere that pumped out of the off-air show really filled the atrium ....and that made me want to stay there a few minutes and let me take my phone out and take this picture so as to remember that I 'was' there to witness the 'commotion'

Mom and Kids

Afternoon around 6 pm...2 more hours before the sun set. It means we still had enough time to enjoy the outdoor in the not-that-hot summer afternoon.

We took our bikes....splashing ourselves in the heat..I mean...warmth of the creek that took us to less-trodden bike-path.(Saturday Afternoon). 

It's Sunday Afternoon.

Another day for Mom and their kids to explore and enjoy the summer afternoon.

This time, instead of sweating themselves out ......on bikes....

they took a walk within the enclave of air conditioned IFC Mall. 

Now..this is what we call....ngabuburit...^^ spending time before the start of breaking the fasting. 

Yes, it's the 8th day of Ramadan.
