Hiker's Diner

We came full circle...started our hike at Meokgol and finished at Meokgol station...but...since we couldn't find any familiar dishes we could eat...we decided to go to Bonghwasan station!!!

...and ended up eating at our regularly visited restaurant: Misoya.

We had spicy seafood bento...for Mom. Fish katsu for Eyra...

And alvab jeongsik for me. Udong included so Freya didn't need to order any.

After 2.5 hours of walking up and down the hills....mountain....we dug our diner out...^^

Resto deket rmh penyelamat perut lapar tiba-tiba. Banyak gimbab dan makanan Korea lain yg bisa dinikmati.

Tdk mahal dan ...tdk murah. 

Taglinenya sih 좋은재료.좋은음식.

 Bahan bagus, makanan enak.

Safely Arrived Back in Seoul

Oh, there you are! June 24, 2015. 

Finally arrived back in Seoul after 12-day Visit to Indonesia on a Road Trip.

Oh...I was not fasting that day...^^ 

I thought I could..but..as it turned out..I was so tired...and exhausted...

and...well...I needed to take some rest. 

It took me another 2 hours to get me from Incheon to Nowon. gee....

Oh, hello there my bags....nice to see you again.ㅋㅋㅋ 

berhasil juga ya...kuat juga ....akhirnya kumasukin lima puluh kiloan lebih....membawa banyak oleh-oleh.

Long story short...Alhamdulillah...finally I met my daughters again...after almost 2-weeks! 

and....we enjoyed our dinner at Bapuri...ㅋㅋㅋ 단골식당이죠.

I think we became the loyal and repeating customers of this franchise called "Bapuri" near our apartment. 

what did we order? None other than udong and.....

Cheese  rapokki that our daughters love.

we could literally. ..eat a lot...well kids need to grow up.^^

Full set of Korean dinner I had when we had 개강 모임 the other day at a restaurant near our campus. I ate all but the fish!!!

Myeolchi gochu gimbab. 멸치고추김밥. 😈😈😈it's so darn hooooooooot.!!!!

Let's have Some Lunch

Lunch, dinner...whenever ..whichever...Bapuri family restaurant is just around the block.

And there are some indispensable menu whenever we go there.

Right, Freya?^^

It's veggie gimbab or sometimes shrimp gimbab. 

Of course, with ham excluded on purpose.^^ 

The colorful combination of ingredients that make up and give meaning to the word 'gimbab' really sums up how it does taste.

Then, chijjeu rapukki (cheese on top of ramyeon and ttteokpukki 'rice cakes') with its spicy gochujang 'chili powder' sauce gives an unforgiving taste in the sense that we're hooked on this particular food.^^

Then..udon or udong with its crispy tofu-like crackers on top of it.

We do love having each of them for either lunch or dinner...well...twice a week, maybe.^^

August 11, 2014: Lunch to Celebrate Our 12th Years of Marriage

We're planning to go to some place special..but since I was a bit tight up today...we only went to a nearby restaurant "Bapuri" where we had what the kids wanted to have: cheese rapukki. 치즈라뽂이. Yes..it's not something fancy or glamorous but...this was what the kids wanted for their lunch. And...Freya loved it. 

Yes...we've been together for about 12 years since 2002!!!^^

after having gimbab and cheese rapukki, we moved on into a nearby cafe and ordered mint-chocolate-ice flakes 초코민트빙수^^  and some bubble tea for the kids. 

Again..this was also nothing much compared to what we cherished. 

Alhamdulillah. 

Thank you, Mama for being with me all these years.

Thank you, Eyra and Freya for being such wonderful daughters.

@ Bapuri

The nearest restaurant serving Korean food: Bapuri. SInce its initial opening months ago, I never see an empty atmosphere. I think lots of people start to find it useful.

Today, we ordered the cheese rapukki,..치즈 라뽁이 , and 비빔국수 or spicy mixed noodle. The latter was so spicy that I gave up eating....^^

It looked like they started to find spicy food as a challenging treat.

Though hot and spicy as it was, they managed to make the best of their time.

Otherwise....
