Seeing Off Om Wawan & Tante Ulfa...

We arrived earlier so that we made sure that we'd be able to meet them.

We didn't tell them that we'd come to the airport...^^ 

Jakarta-bound Asiana Airlines was scheduled at 4.55 pm..so we had ample time to meet .... 

Om Wawan and Mbak Ulfa have been our close friends, neighbors, and even families... 

As for me, I came to Korea together with Om Wawan...back in 2011. That's why we've been close..very much close... 

and after mbak Ulfa came along, our wives got along well and we lived our lives in Korea together.. 

Doing practically..lots of stuffs together...^^. 

That's why..it's like a must-do task, not that..should-do one...that I, along with my family, went to Incheon airport to see them off personally.

Freya and Eyra have surely been close and got along well with om Wawan. Undoubtedly. 

and these two ladies...^^ they've been sharing lots of memorable moments in Korea.. 

That's why...it's been such a bless to have known them and being close with them.

A Gift for Om Wawan & Tante Ulpe....

It's a...hmmm...well.....sort of last minute decision. I know that I should've bought something for mbak Ulfa and Om Wawan..as a token of friendship or well..a sort of 'remembrance'....but we did not think or could not think of anything until we came...all the way from home to Incheon airport..

so...upon encountering this AK Dept. Store ...we decided to scan through the souvenir section...

only to find that..WOW...THEY're all expensive...ㅋㅋㅋ

But...it's fine..since we got to buy SOMETHING...and then we decided to buy them...this.

So...cool that I captured it on a video...^^

Om Wawan & Tante Ulfa's Last Friday Prayer @ Itaewon Masjid

 

Friday, January 16, 2015 was the last time om Wawan went to Masjid Itaewon for Friday prayer. We've been going here on Fridays together. He finished his Masters and graduated from Korea Development Institute. It means..they're leaving Korea. oh, by the time I wrote this blog, they're already in Jakarta.^^ 

Tante Ulfa, Om Wawan's wife, has been accompanying her husband for almost 3 years in Seoul.

Since this Friday could be the last time (at least this time) for us to meet, we took some pics...^^

along with mas Ahmad (광운 대학교) and his wife (HUFS)..and our friend, mas Syarif (Hanyang University)

so...selamat menempuh hidup baru di Indonesia lagi, Om Wawan and Mbak Ulpe.^^

Terima kasih telah bersama kami selama 3 tahun, ya.

Sampai bertemu lagi di Indonesia atau di mana pun. 

Tunggu saya, ya..agar segera selesai program S3 saya di HUFS.

Friends Who Left Korea This Month

This month (January 2015), there are two families who left Korea and that means..they left us, too.ㅠㅠ 

First is mbak Rini's family. They got to move to Batam & Singapore...right..they move to work in Singapore after their term in Korea ended. hmm..one neighbor gone away...ㅠㅠ

But, of course..it's for the better. 

The kids have been close since they met in Korea..but now..they got to say goodbye.

Hope to meet again..right? 

Next..hmm....lemper, klapertaart, sus, dadar gulung, pisang goreng, molen...and other kinds of traditional Indonesian snacks...were for us to enjoy...on what occasion? 

This time, our friend, om Wawan and tante Ulfa got to leave Korea..since they finished their study here. Yup, om Wawan graduated this month and they got to be back to Indonesia...^^

Congratulations.....Om Wawan...^^ 

We gathered in their one-room apartment to bid them goodbye and wish them a great new life back home.
