Daebudo part 1

We just got back from Daebudo beach...an hour drive from Ansan or 2 hours from Seoul.
..taking an elephant train that took us back to the parking lot. With my friend..Haolia.
highlights...
some statutes at the parking lot as we walked into the lot to find our bus.
a view on an afternoon beachfront.
it's 5pm and we got to go home...
an instagrammable picture I got from the beach. So...hot...yet...it's a nice trip.

More of the SAME view!!!

..of which we never got bored of. Had we been, we'd stopped pressing the button of the camera and stopped taking pictures of this same (yet, perfect) evening....from within the comfort of our junior suite.
hmm..what a good view out there. Looked gloomy, yes...., YET...it's just simply...chillingly cool.
the same picture..over and over again.
but..then...the moon's shining....
The night's crawling in....with a moon over the hills...@ Jeongdongjin..
It's the same view...indeed, but with a twist.

Gangneung Trip (part 8)

It's almost dusk and the sun's setting...and more people were 'lurking' onto the street upfront the beach....
This is one of the good ways to enjoy the Gyeongpo beach: strolling along the pedestrian located in the middle of green park and the street that separates the stores along the beach line. I may not be good in describing it in words, but this is what it looked like when I took this pic.
It's passed 6 p.m. and no one's allowed to be IN the water, let alone swimming. Yes, I remembered at the 태안 /Taean beach at the western coastal of Korean peninsula last year. ...the similarity was that...as the time strikes 6 p.m. a voice coming out of the loudspeaker politely asking all vacationers NOT to be in the water.
and this was the result. NO ONE was at the beach.^^
lifeguards went home. and only lifebuoys were seen floating on the waters.
Even, parasols were folded and wrapped inside that YELLOW temporary pile up.
the wind's getting more and more chilling....
* Eyra and Freya were sitting on the beach sand....
enjoying their snack....& I know it's shivering..especially when they drenched wet...^^
Night's lurking..and it's time to have some dinner.
(continued onto part 9)

Gangneung Trip (part 6)

These are pictures I took when the kids were 'meditating' @ the shore.
ㅋㅋㅋ again..I didn't know exactly what Freya was looking at, thinking about, pondering about...when she was gazing onto the sea....^^
But, I just couldn't help myself....pointing my phone to take the pics while she's just standing still....
and what a view. I mean...with a seashell protruding out of the sand right in front of the lenses, I was trying to capture the moment...
Yes... it was meant to be one of those picture-perfect moment^^
then..along came her sister, Eyra, who seemed to be so actively distracted by the endless possibilities of playing with the water...
again....when her sister left...Freya stood still (AGAIN)...gazing onto the sea.^^
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
wait...she's like making a wish? ㅋㅋㅋ
and that's when I approached her and...hey...snap out of it, Freya.
let's just play with the sand.^

Gangneung Trip (part 5)

A quintessential view of the parasols on the beach: sort of an affirmative notion that we're officially ON the beach^^
Luckily, the weather's warm that afternoon. The clouds hanging over us...
Yet..the sun's still shining through which made it even a perfect time to have fun.
Yes....
The previously crossed landmark of Gyeongpo beach: an arched bridge.
It looked serene when no one's around.
And..this is one of the picture-perfect moment.
Freya & Eyra were seen gazing over the horizon...
admiring (or whatever they're thinking over their head) the splash and sound of the crushing waves.
As for their Mom, she's busy trying to put herself in a white-sand picture-perfect pose^^
and as for me? well...busy taking THEIR pictures.:) ^^
