북서울 꿈의 숲 Dream Forest

개미처럼...봄이 오자마자...공공장소를 찾아 가는 사람들이 많아지고  우리도 마찬가지로 좋은 기회를 놓을까봐...갔다 왔다. ..애들은 좀 공원에 가자고 해서....생각 없이 오케이....가자.

우리 동네엔 이렇게 멋진 풍경을 담은 곳이 꿈읫 숲밖에 없는 것 같다. 물론 진달래, 벗꽃 등 같은 꽃들이 아직도 피우지 않았지만 ....그린 샤워(??)^^로 걸아 가자.......!!!! 

Yes, we wouldn't want to to miss the chance of enjoying the early breeze of spring with the kids.

This is just a 10-minute ride from where we live. 

Not so much to see apparently ...but boy..we did have time there.  

Simply strolling along the park and letting our eyes wonder and wander around ....was more than what we'd expected. 

Barren trees were still visible...and the field was light and pale brown..yet..the weather was tantalizingly inviting. 

Roller-blade-ing kids, rope-jumping kids, scooter-ring kids, hula-hoop-ing kids, and other you-name-it-you-got-it games...dotted the scenery at one of the section in the park.

A city with a view @ Full Moon Dusk

A full moon in Chuseok. Yes, after all Chuseok is celebrated during the full moon of lunar calendar. So, I was pretty much impressed by the fact that full moon DID show up.^^ 

Enjoying the sun set from above. Seoul city takes a shower of lights^^

Though it was a bit dark...and not that clear..we enjoyed the night view.

Freya was so eager to climb onto one of the pillars...

She was climbing over the city...

in one of the most daring actions...^^she ever performed. Well, it took gut to climb onto this pillar, actually. 

Inside the observatory deck, there were chairs made of woven steel.^^

What could be a relaxing moment than spending some time on the top of the observatory deck.

Observatory Tower @ Dream Forest

On our way to the observatory deck. It is one of the must-visit venue inside the park. After a tiring-but-fun kite-flying activity, I asked the whole family to take a walk towards the deck. See?

It looks so futuristic. In fact it used to be the location of KBS's IRIS drama. Or, since it is futuristic, the drama was deliberately using the location as its shooting site. I think the last reference is correct. It was a bit cold that my wife was wearing some blankets around her neck while walking.

Before taking an elevated elevator(?)--what??, anyway...we stopped to take a picture first.

On our way...to the top of the tower. 

It was about 7 pm, it's getting darker.

The view up there would be so cool (so they said). and that's the reason why we wanted to see Seoul from up above.

Seoul Dream Forest (part 3)

Taking a rest after playing around in the park.The bright little tent was of their own choice. They found it amusing and fun to snuggle into a small tent like that.

The real atmosphere of the day. It was almost dusk, so the sky seemed to light up its orange color beyond...

Just when I thought they were ready to take a rest....they got out of the tent...putting on their sandals...

and...off they gone. So, I might as well use the tent and put myself down, snuggled myself into the tent...which to no surprise only accommodate half of me..., even I could not get my feet into it..so, I miht sa well lay down on the grass...

....while watching the kids running along....

Some other kids were seen trying to catch some bugs with their bug net...

a few minutes later...they were back into the tent....to have some snack and take a rest...again.

Eyra was laying down while Freya was still vividly trying to think of something to do

OK, Daddy's turn to take a picture with you, gals. starting with the big sister..

Then..the little sister. So as seen from the pic. above, we were pretty much having a camp right beside the curb or pavement in the park

As the night fell...more and more people were flocking in.^^ kinda funny, eh?

Yes, the park in SEOUL Dream Forest was indeed a great place to hang out with the whole family and friends...

See...the dark set in.

But the kids did not stop from running..

Seoul Dream Forest (part 2)

Now this is awesome! Who does not want to lay down on a green grass and spread a mat or any other picnic mat to put ourselves down...gazing up the blue sky?

"Tis Summer and it's 6 p.m. so the sky's pretty much clear and bright. With the lush green of the meadow(?), lawn(?), green(?)......anything we called it...either way..it was just splendid.

Move to the light, kid...so I could take your picture, alright. There...stop and pause...opps Eyra..you got to move up to the left...

There....^^ But, then...it was so bright that even wearing sunglasses would not help you from the exposure of the sunlight, right? Sorry, gals. But Daddy just wanted to make sure that you got it all.

I just could not believe my eyes, that this whole vast green area was within reach from where I lived. I should've known it earlier. 

Even, they have a cafe..a good one. The park opens up to 10 pm, so it's pretty much a convenient venue to spend an hour or two...^^

And..what a park or forest be without a playground, eh?

The kids were so excited as they found out about it.

For kids? ^^ hahaha

The day was getting darker..then we decided to set up our tent ( I mean, the kids' tent)^^

The tent was fit enough to snuggle two or three kids inside. But I could've squeezed myself, too,actually.

The point is that...both Eyra and Freya could get what they've been wanting in Summer....

i.e. going on a camp with their Daddy.^^
