Water Bar @ Shinsagae Dept Soter (Dynamic Busan part 20)

Water Bar? Yup.

This is no-alcohol bar. Cool, eh? 

Well, if you are into this cool-spot, why don't you just drop by at any nearby Shinsagae Dept. Store, cos they sure has one of this Water Bars--so I was told so.^^

Ok. let me get this straight^^ Bar full  of water?

Yes. And what's more interesting is that...just like any other bar or usual bar..it has a BARTENDER. hmmm^^

See? That's the guy behind the counter who would serve us with all of the water imaginable. 

This bar specially specializes itself in serving all kinds of water from all over the world.

Some has one of the hilarious brands I've seen to date...WAT-AAH ^^ Who could resist to such a cool temptation, eh?

And there is this one that comes from Italy? France? Denmark? I got to check them out. But, BOy..oh Boy....there are countless of water from almost every corner of the world. Be it mineral, plain, pure, purely mineral mined from the deepest well on earth or from some kind of God-knows-where some kind of mountain spring ...^^...gosh..oh gosh...I kinda tired myself looking and reading all of the feast to the eyes...^^

But, what attracted me most...was..the bottle. They seemed to be ....so coolly shaped and ...at times..I thought that they might not be just plain water....^^but they all are. Amazing, eh?

While the bartender's gone...I took a snap of the whole glass.

Oh, he's back and once again. OH, Hello Matthew..^^

We were so lucky to be part of Busan Friends and Busan Buddy program. 

 I think...this activity does indeed absorb my attention (in a positive way, of course).

Dynamic Busan: part 19 (ICE SKATE RINK)

Dubbed as being the largest department store in the world, Centum City's Shinsaegae Busan surely has a lot to offer to its customers and tourists: local and foreigners alike.

What could be more fun than skating on ice during the scorching heat of the summer. So, this is exactly what this ice-stake rink has to offer. 

When we went there, it was not a peak hour and...it was not weekend, as well. What entailed was like a  whole amusement park for some of our pack buddies.

This ice-rink was not that big but considering that this is partially a part of a department store...not a mall, this  makes sense as to why this department store boasts to be the largest of its kind in the world. 

Malls do have ice skating rink...but they are not within the stores...this one...is just next to the stores that sells clothes^^ 

The waiting area and the skate rentals. With ample facilities that this skate rink has, I think one could just easily sneak out of its routine activities and have a few minuter or one hour ride on the skate to cool one's down. ^^

Why not try yourself and go for a skating day?
For the locals,  I think, this facility might add to their comfort in terms of leisure activities.
Who would not want to be there?

Dynamic Busan: part 18 (Madame Tusauds)

Madame Tussauds' wax museum is right here in Busan during Summer 2012. I hope lots of people would flock into this exhibition so as this will be a permanent show on the peninsula. By having so, we do not need to go as far as Hong Kong or Bangkok or Jakarta to see one in Asia. 

Okey, this is supposed to be a good pic, but since we were kinda in a rush....I could not take my focus on the pictures. I got to cover the whole Shinsaegae dept. store to make a report. 

Anyhow, we managed to 'enjoy' the performances (silent ones) of each waxed figure. 

Madam Tussauds Busan-- I think-- is the one to be.

Jim Carrey's trademark of being fun. Gosh, I should have taken a photo session with him...^^

Who does not know this couple from Hollywood. In fact the two kinda perpetuate(?) the mere existence of this small exhibition. 

The small gallery was somewhat jammed packed with as many as 20 or so figurines from mostly the entertainment industry.

The Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and Bruce Willis were the waxed figurines visible @ this alley.

I would surely....definitely .....take my pic. with one of the living controversial idols at the outset of 21st century. Since I am not good in acting..I just might as well grab one of the furry and feather-made blue scarfs and tucked them round my head ..and voila...a pic.made in Gaga.^^

This one, too, I know that I kinda like MJ, but did not know why that I felt like not having a rush or necessity to take even one pic. with him. I guess...due to respect...I kinda felt like...leaving him in peace....even in his figurine. Not to scratch a tint on it..whatsoever.^^ (oh...come on Suray.....it's unnecessary to think this too much deep or sense out of it). Still, that's what happened though.

BUT....BUT....BUT...when it comes to this famous Audrey Hepburn...^^ I could not help but making sure that I GOT TO BE on this ONE.

Sure.....I bet. I took one of the most memorable scenes or parts of my Busan trip..right here.

Taking a picture with AUDREY KATHLEEN RUSTON a.k.a. the beautifully gorgeous Audrey Hepburn...was like..a sheer dream.^^

Even the amazing Spiderman did not entice me to take a picture with him^^. HAHA. I just passed him by....and sorry..Mr. Spidey.^^ (I'd watch you on the big screen^^)

Just when I was about to go outside of the exhibition room and took a snap shot of Bruce Willis and Jackie Chan.....I'd rush back again..and take one last shot of Audrey Hepburn's eternal charms.

Dynamic Busan: part 17: Centum City

This is NOT Centum City^^ as yet. No, I just want to post the lunch that I had at one of the luxurious restaurants on the 9th floor of CEntum CitY's Shinsaegae Dept. Store.

First, I am a vegetarian--so it was such a huge relief to have found all-veggies dish/meal/lunch at the time when I desperately needed. 

This Jeonju Bibimbab or mixed rice from Jeonju is the one I'd love to have once again.

See the colors? it was as delicious as its colors^^

Who could've imagined that this is on the 9th floor of the Shinsaegae Department Store. Yes, I meant it. 

It is called the Rooftop garden--I guess so. 

It was so lush green..even with those huge tress beyond. See?

Such a refreshing and eye-opener & jaw-dropping setting....considering that we just dash into this garden on top of the Department store.

Ok, some may joke about it as being trivial or usual, since there are countless of rooftop gardens just like this in other buildings all over the world. But, the point is that...this is...just....awesome.

I could not admiring the fact that this tree is on top of the 9th floor^^

LOVED every bit of it.

These purple flowers on the flowers beds put on hold on each side of the wooden sidewalks did enhance the  feeling of not being on the 9th floor. I was like walking down the alleys or a park just around the corner of my house. (wait, dream on, Suray^^)

To show how serious I am...^^ this is the picture I took from the 9th floor of Shinsagae Dept. Store. Down there...it was BIFF (Busan International Film Festival) venue. (read about it on my other post entries).

In fact, I got to take this picture as one of the requirements that I got. Oh, one more thing, the point of me...wandering around the world's largest department store..was to capture the images and endless possibilities that people could do and enjoy at this famous department store.

I imagined living on those apartment by the river banks must be so cool. A great view they must have.

See how things turn out? 

When we just pour our creativity and our perseverance in nurturing and blending modernity and environment, this is -- I am sure-- what we would get.
As a man of nature myself, I kinda enjoyed and treasured such a place.

Never got bored of taking one more snap of this beautiful rooftop garden.

Now, back into the air conditioned Shinsaegae Dept. Store:..................

Being the world's largest, I kinda expected lots of fun and educational fun at the same time back there.

Lots, of course. But, one thing that caught my attention was the PSA or some sort of pre-school academy. 

This PSA IS @ the mall.^^

I kinda thought that their parents or notably moms were busy shopping or spa-ing while their children were also busy with themselves at this pre-school facilities.

-----then......

One thing that I could not turn down...or I would never say NO to the offer: undoubtedly...an invitation to Madame Tussauds exhibition in Busan.

Bae Young Joon's waxed other-half was right at the entrance. Being one of the prominent Hallyu stars, he deserved to be on display.
