It's a neighborhood party held at the height of spring.

Families flocked to the venue to experience lots of activities.

Drawings made by kindergarten kids were being shown around the park.

A different way to show off kid's works.

it's hot...I know, dear.

Escorts helped ease the traffic around the venue so as to give a sense of safety for both the cars and visitors to the party.

....and after the party, the girls met their Eonni who later took them to the cat's cafe.

Bicycle Locker

Yep...you read it right. At first..I thought it was just another cabinet or any other lockers. It is not. It's a specially designed locker for bikes. Yes..anyone who comes and goes back and forth the subway and having to lock or store the bikes..they no longer need a long overdue locker coz this particular locker is a kind of modern-day bike lockers.

Just look at the boxes attached in between. 

There are instructions on how to operate or use the bicycle locker like this one. I tried to take a closer look at this but I refrained to.  

This locker room is at Hwarangdae station. I bet there are a bunch others like this one in any other subway station.

On weekends, lot of people are using their bikes to explore the city and I think this bicycle locker is deemed to have a great and multiple uses for the purpose of having fun.

A 5-Minute Walk from Our Apartment and We Ended Up in...

First, a public park where kids can have a great time playing around in the playground. Well, we have one near our apartment, but this park is bigger. 

Summer is ON. Bring it ON.  

With a lovely weather like this, we could spend the whole day there. Wait...suray, are you nut? 'lovely' you said? ^^ 

Well...at least for the kids who seemed to never mind the heat... 

But, this is something that I can relate to. Who would've thought that near our apartment, we could actually find a hill that is--well--good enough to hang around.

It's about 7 pm and the sun was about to set... 

I could not believe that we live in Seoul, well..it's still in the city, and yet we could end up finding this... 

for others, it may look trivial, but for us...it's not.

we simply love it.

5-minute walk from home and we can go on a hike...

A Deserted Railway @ our Backyard

Yep..right @ our backyard...just a two-minute walk from our apartment, we could end up finding this deserted railway. I remembered vividly the sound of train passing by this track when I first came to Korea back in 2002. At that time I was also living at the same apartment so...when I found out that this track is deserted..I was like..Whoa..what happened to the tracks?

So...we went there and found ourselves playing along the track...without any fear of any incoming trains...^^

Summer is hot, indeed. But...once we could make the best of it...

we could end up having the best of summer, yet.

Moving in....(part 2)

Before moving into a new house, I checked about what it looked like on Daum.maps. And...it looks like an old apartment since the red-bricks layer on the surface of the building's wall are apparent. That't the first feature. But...it looks just nice. 

And the fact that the neighborhood is somewhat a new atmosphere for us...we are so excited. Moreover, other foreign students and faculty members live here, so I am sure that the facilities are just fine. Love the fact that it is clean. 

We are on the 2nd floor. Like it. What not to like, especially after living in a basement for more than a year in our previous "two-room". So, this is surely one of the too-good-to-be-true kind of excitement.

As soon as the university offered me to move into this apartment complex, I said "YES", well of course after some consideration. And that is: transportation expenses. 

We need to take subway that would take us around 20 minute (including transfer) from home to campus. That's more than tolerable.^^ The subway is just 2-minute away from where we live.

After all, the house is much much more spacious than the one we used to have before. 

And...the facilities are just ample. We got everything we need, for the universities provided everything for us, even the internet and cable TV. (It means... we do not have to extend the one we subscribed when we were still at Imundong). 

And...Eyra got her own room. That's something that she likes about. 

She just put all of her stuffs on her desk right away. Oh, see the Taegukki or Korean flag, there? She made it out of the color clay. She loves it. 

The good neighborhood, and a large parking lot (for the children, it means....large playground:) ^-^

Bismillahirrohmanirrohim...We are going to live in this apartment until I finish my study at HUFS. 

Bismillah hopefully in 2015.
