Back to the Future: An Exhibit @ CGV

I got to see it again on a big screen. Yes...thanks to CGV for bringing back my memory.

And what's cool about CGV Youio was that they had this unexpected exhibits on some bits of this movie.

It's an eerily fun feeling to see all of these.

The hoverboard!!! Sure.

But what caught my attention was the original posters from 1985 when it's released in Korea.

I couldn't contain myself. Exhilarated.

Even the postcard size posters. Zo coool.

Wish I had them.

Unbelievably mind boggling to witness these.

And...if that doesn't bother me...what about these? Wicked.

The Almanac and the selflacing shoes.ㅋㅋ

And a small replica of Delorean...and Marty with his JVC video recorder.

All in all...

It's been sucha great time indeed.

Reliving..re watching the nostalgic movie I grew up.with.

Yup....CGV Youido is indeed differently distinctive.

Fish at the Atrium

The big flat screen on display at IFC Mall always changes its theme. This time around....summer sets in. 

and what best describes the cool breeze (whaaat??) of summer, but fish in the aquarium and the crystal-clear like water as seen in it?  

So, when I was on my way down the escalator heading to the basement, I noticed that the whole atrium was full of fish swimming around. Yes..it did work to entice the onlookers and the window shoppers to stop and see the glimpse of fish swimming freely .... 

But, once again..that did not make me stop for long..since the movie was about to begin.^^

Disney Characters on Display @ CGV (part 3)

Last but not least, it's Frozen's famous characters, Kristoff, Anna, Elsa, and of course, Olaf--the snowman. Though they're just plainly pinned-up life-size paper, they're surely a major attractions for the kids and adults-alike. 

Eyra's been head over heels over Elsa from 'Frozen' that as soon as she saw them, she insisted that she took the picture with them by squeezing her face right onto the perfectly cut hole that would fit a face for a make-believe picture like the one above.

*gee, I was holding her up from behind this picture so as to let her fit into the 'hole' 

Continued on about the Disney characters at CGV Art Gallery, Eyra finally met with Minnie. These ones, too, were actually a pinned-up life-size characters. With a perfect angle, it would've been a three-dimensional picture..but I wonder if this one would do fine ..for the trick. 

At least, Eyra could go hand in hand with them. Right, Eyra?

We're NOT Supposed to...

POSE here...let alone...climbing up on it and take a picture of ourselves. But, for the kids, these CGV letters were seen like a BIG characters to play with. Oh, well...just go and let me take the pictures, girls. 

and..me, too. I'd love to be there with you, kids. Oh, Freya...you really fit well into the C!!! 

And ...while Eyra was almost perfectly fitted into the C, Freya, on the other hand, had the most playful pose of them all. She asked me to put her into the G and posed with that. Okay...quick--quick...before someone asked us not to take a picture here!! 

*Oh, My....* they're not done, yet. They seemed to be enjoying their time while me on the other hand..had to deal with my own predicament of being in the situation where some people were watching us. But, oh, well.... 

CGV set up these BIG letters for us to enjoy, right? 

Had they prohibited its visitors from climbing up the letters, they'd have posted some notice, right^^

ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I'm trying to find some affirmation of what the kids'd been doing...

 (me, included).

Disney's Characters Displayed @ CGV (part 1)

oops, no..not this one. This Larva character is surely not Disney's, but the kids love it so much that they're drawn to try it out before we're heading towards the Disney characters display. 

Nothing special, actually. But, at least we could see the history of Mickey Mouse and his friends all across the halls and walls @ CGV, Yeouido. We solely came for this and since it didn't quite live up to what we'd expected, we didn't just go by it. Instead, we tried our best to enjoy the displays..which turned out..*oh, that'd a nice touch to this culture-plex. (yes, CGV is no longer a cineplex, it's more than that.) 

This coined word like culture-plex has turned out to be a catch-phrase referring to (almost) all CGV movie-going experiences. But, the one @ Youido is definitely THE one to be. 

Since Eyra loves Minnie and the fact that she could see the stylish displays of her favorite characters on every corner of the culture-plex turned out to be a good compensation for what we missed out.*

*I'd thought that life-size Disney characters were on display*

But, this one worked just fine, then.
