Fun Rafting @ Chuseok Holiday for UT Radio Korea Family (part 2)

It's our 2nd rafting at the same RIVER! Hantang River.

Last year, we also went here...yup the family of UT (Universitas Terbuka) Radio Korea loved rafting.^^

The rock formation was awesome along the way we rowed down the stream...

the whole group seemed to enjoy the ride, eh?

We're the one who had to pull out of the boat off the water.

and gee...they're terribly HEAVY!

But.that's one of the fun, though.

Fun Rafting @ Chuseok Holiday with UT Korea Radio Family (part 1)

 

We're the big family of UT Korea Radio--an internet-based radio managed by Indonesian students at Open University in Korea (Universitas Terbuka Korea).

On Chuseok this year (2014), we went (again) to Hantan River in Pocheon to have a team building activity. There were lots of new members to the radio, so we have this team building activity...to 'consolidate'(wow..what a WORD!!) our team.

We plunged ourselves to the cold and shivering water....when we had a chance.

In some parts I say some parts) of Indonesia...we would've been greeted by some lizards..or worse..crocodile. Nooo just kidding. ^^but...it could be true, though.ㅋㅋㅋ

so...no crocodiles here.

Oh...wait, aren't we THE crocodiles???

We're divided into two teams on the race towards the finish line.

Too bad, we couldn't take any pictures of the time when we're stuck on the rock or when we got to face the huge jump from the water...

so..these pictures DID NOT do justice to what the rafting in this river REALLY looked like.

 I could guarantee that our hearts were pounding...........

well, not in this picture, of course...because we survived the TEST of the water.

Meeting @ Pocheon

We finally arrived at Pocheon, a lake resort about 2-hour drive from Seoul.

Parked our car and did some shopping: yup, we're going to have some barbecue and dinner together...with 20 other friends.

Selfie-monopod IS indeed helpful for being narcissistic.

*anyway..this was the very place we had our barbecue. Wait..that's not the main point, 'coz we came here to gather with all members of UT Radio Korea. We're consolidating our team by having a retreat in this place.

While the others were preparing for more food. Oh, this one's nasi goreng...for breakfast.

In the early morning, we're ready to take another team-building program---> RAFTING.

Yup, this consolidating and team-building program was designed in such a way to unite us all. Through what? RAFTING included.

Fun Time During Chuseok

Barbecuing: DONE.

Rafting: DONE. 

POSING IN BOAT: DONE. 

PLUNGING ourselves: DONE. 

TEAMWORKING: DONE.

Chuseok Outing @ Sanjeong Lake (part 2)

Wheres' the lake? well, we didn't actually stay at a pension near the lake, we're just in the vicinity of the lake. Still, the pension is livable enough for as many as 20 people! 

But now...we needed to have our lunch before heading towards the rafting activity!!! 

Right next to the place where we had our lunch, a small creek was flowing. The water volume was subsiding...but...the kids loved it, still. 

okay...let's go meet the juin (owner) of the pension and got our deal done.

We needed to pay for the pension fee and the rafting!!

hmm..nice! 

While the adults were waiting for the bus that would take them to rafting site, the kids got their outfit changed and ready to play in the creek. 

All kids including the little one, Gaiza...^^

What about other things the boys did while waiting?

They're playing sepak takraw--a combination of football+volleyball.

then...off went the kids into  the ankle-deep creek.

and we let two Daddies stayed with them...

while the rest of us....-->> Go on a rafting!!!
