Payung-payung Imut

Giliranku menjemput Freya dari SD. Rintik-rintik hujan menghiasi pemandangan warna-warni payung imut bawaan anak-anak itu.

...14.00... setiap hari..."gerombolan" anak-anak ini keluar dari pintu belakang sekolah dan langsung mencari induknya.

Goyang International Flower Festival (part 3)

Hmm...we were not even INSIDE the flower festival and yet...we're happily distracted by  the cultural experiences that we could see and do ourselves. Like trying out to be dressed up in hanbok. 

Why not taste it if we got plenty of time ahead of time. Even Eyra and Freya chose their own. Hmm..I love the color that Freya chose.  

Oh...the red dots on their cheeks were what made it even more adorable. Glad that I didn't have those on mine.^^ 

Why not take the whole picture of family in hanbok in style. It cost us 1,000 Won per each hanbok and if we wanted to have our pictures printed..it's 2,000 Won each.  

Mama, can I take off these red dots?^^

Spring @ Lotte World

Another entry about our forced trip to Lotte world's lake. I said 'force' trip since we would not have been here, had we not pushed ourselves to go there. It is a good thing that it was worth-going for. 

They loved going there to get immersed into the nature....... and the throng of people (no picture available, for the sake of the story). I don't want to remember about the herds of people":) that really baffled me.

The beauty of natural surroundings offered by this not-that-large seemingly-man-made-lake just around the vicinity of Lotte World.

So...another look at the lake and the cherry blossoms right on top of it. well, sort of...

Unforgettable passage to my gcap...campus....^^

These are the pictures I took while taking a walk on my way to my campus.  No one would ever notice  it during Winter.....me included. The thing was simple, really. This used to be seemingly trivial small and narrow looking pavement leading to my campus...was usually not this eye-catching + interestingly bright 

But...on my way ....(the other day) let's see....I forgot when....but, that's not the point, the thing was that...I was so captivated by the bright and colorful lurking and smirks of those flowers that I just stopped and started taking pictures of them. For what? to capture the moment, for sure.

These white and red flowers submerged in the green leaves of their branches indeed imbue the somewhat feast to the eyes (mine, at least).^^

This is how the whole lots might look like on that particular day!

Now, that Summer sets in.....the colorful pictures like what I saw on the pictures above.....have GONE. 

They are all now.....green! just green..with no flowers left.

Indeed, life is just a passing time in between we need to stop and start to admire its beauty, otherwise..they just would pass us by like what Nature does.

Meeting Ara & Nado. 

Ara & Nado: the characters from Korean TV. it's one of the achievements from Korean animation industries that the whole country  (read: children) could succumb to the success and attractiveness that they offer.

It was about 6 pm and the park was about to close. So we took the time to take a photo out of the limited time available before going out of the park.

since it was a Spring festival, the adorned heart-shaped flower was the perfect spot for a memory photo with the whole lot of families. Just like what we did.

At the back,  the lights were lit up. the sky started to doze off into grey palette color

Their Mom joined the kids. never wanted to miss the chance of being framed into the eternity of picture-esque snap-shot 

in front of the windmill before saying goodbye to the park where we spent almost 6 hours of the afternoon..

Choa & Moya in Seoulland

Choa and Moya: two characters that my kids love these days. So, upon finding out that they were the central theme of the Spring festival, they loved it. We were sitting on a bench under the roller coaster where the two characters were.

Eyra loves it sooo much. Look at the grinning face she got.

After a small accident of a twisted finger, Freya got to be treated in a first aid center inside the Park. She was fine. Just a bit shocked^^

Then, off we went again to take the picture in front of Vroomz land.

The Sakura lane. That's what it was called. I guess..

 Relax. Smile.Vast.Sakura.White.Windy.

Seoulland : the kids loved it.

The time for both Eyra and Freya. They were immersed into this bom bom car that looked so ordinary and simple to the adults' eyes. But, the mere excitements cherished and polished through the eyes of the kids indeed showed that they were enjoying the rides. No matter how ordinary-looking it was.

 The only ride they wanted to take on twice. ^^ The others? either too scary or not-that-much interesting for their appetite. 

More about Spring 2012

At the Entrance of the Spring festival.

The balloons? We got them for free from a stall outside the venue. Did not know what for.

The budding flowers on top of the leaves were springing up. 

A Gazebo wrapped in the mushrooming tiny flowers. It adorned the alley leading to the main road where the festival was held. Look at the trees at the back. They were the reason why we came there in the first place.

oh, there was one more thing we did before entering the festivity. There was this height measurement in the public park. 

Going through the wooden gazebo I was talking about earlier.  I was trying to take a close-up pic of the flower right in front of me, but what happened was that...it was a bit blurry.

The Sakura were hanging on the trees. (Now, May.....they've gone. What's left is the green leaves) that symbolizes the coming of summer.

Lush green grass underneath the sakura trees captured the vividly different atmosphere of the Spring season. 

Here they came. with balloons in their hands, they were ready to stroll along the avenue dotted by the Sakura along the sides.

 

Must-have item on their list surely includes the bubbles. The kind of late afternoon wind was a perfect addition in the splendor of Spring. 

The policemen patrolling the venue were visible in their distinctive outfits. They were more like a helper or PR for the public. Most of patrolling policemen seen in most part of Seoul are the young or youth-looking police-- a positive outlook or action on the part of the government to give safety as well as warmth to the public.

Street artists, painters. 

Good to see how this kind of activity was freely held on the street. Right, I said it: literally ON the street. No one would've guessed or thought that it would've been probable in the very street that on normal days would be highly closed due to its proximity to the National Assembly Building in Youido. So, I deliberately took the picture as a token of the highly free spirit existence.
