A Long Walk at Daecheon Beach (part 4)

White sands....soft waves...cool breeze of air.......No..I was lying. ^^ It's boiling. I mean..it's hot. Well, what did I expect? I was at the seaside in the midst of Summer.^-^

Get real, Suray! 

Sure...it never dampened my spirit to keep on exploring.

As (again-and-again) a token of proof that I DID go there...

The coastline is indeed long. It stretches for about more than 5 km, I guess. I could be wrong, though. Just based on my guessing. 

The tip or the start of the Daecheon beach is actually the cliff ..up there. It's rocky and prohibited for any visitors. 

Due to its steep caves and rocks that may trap visitors during high tides.

Gyeongju Tour: Going Back to Seoul

Finally the day we went back to Seoul arrived. It's just 2 nights in Gyeongju. 

Some things we remembered from Gyeongju:

The 37 Celsius Summer Heat!!

The cozy pension we stayed in.

The not-so-many buildings in and around Gyeongju: which turned out to be an advantage.

We love the trees and the lanes..and the blue sky that dominated most of what we experienced there. 

Not many cars. blue sky. trees on both side of the lanes... 

The green paddy field along the way.... 

A dome protruding out of the hills....(did not know what)!! 

We changed our ticket 3 times!

First: the original ticket we bought from Seoul.

Second: The second one we bought after we changed the time schedule. We changed the tickets into the earlier ones so as to provide us ample time to take a rest in Seoul (after arriving).

The third: After we MISSED the TRAIN to Seoul.!!!!!!!

Yes, I got a penalty for the tickets we bought. GEREHGDHGOIDHGEKHGDKGHDFDDG#$GDGR$^DG&D*G&D(GD&(GD*)(GD*)D*G)_D&*(GDUIGDHIOGDJOIGDUOIGDUIOG&*(E^*&GE^*&E^

But...IT was a great experience and we can laugh about it NOW. 

Freya always had fun time and found something to do...to spend. 

She never stopped talking. Well, that's a good thing. 

What about Eyra? She's busy with her phone.!!!!!! 

We're transfering @ DongDaegu station. 

And the 13.42 KTX time was the train we're boarding. 

It's a hanok-style waiting room inside the station. Is it??

Now..let's take the whole group. Say 'Smile'''' 

More members of our group came along. We still had some time left before departing to Seoul... 

Oh...the KTX train was approaching...oops..no..not that one.. 

So, let's take some time off again.... but...not for long..since our train would arrive soon  

It's a good thing that both of them were always enthusiastic and energetic....^^ 

Never complain or whatsoever...they seemed to have always been able to enjoy their trip.

Gyeongju City Tour (part 11): Dinner time

We had some dinner at the Pension Maeul restaurant lane. 

Since most of us wanted to have some seafood, we went to this ..낙지 마실 restaurant... 

any kind of seafood and any kinds of shells, crabs, ...etc...to name a few were there for them. not for me.^^

for me..I jus had my suntubu.

Gyeongju City Tour (part 10): A traditional market

Not that we never visit this kind of place in Seoul, but..it's just that we needed to go inside to find some ingredients to cook at home (I mean..our pension home in Gyeongju). 

So, all of us were lurking into the labyrinth of the only market we saw right in front of the Gyeongju station. Since it's late in the afternoon, not many stalls were open. Well, guess..they're closed already. 

See? Not many people visible, right? 

So, we ventured out of the market and encountered a sidewalk full of peddlers.

We bought some fruits for the night's 'party'.

Gyeongju City Tour (part 9): The City Square..

Be it a city square or not..we just passed it by. It's a hollowed architecture. The catch? it's a traditionally designed hollow-concrete architecture. 

Not know it for sure, though.

Guess...Googling it down....would just do the trick.^^

Gyeongju City Tour (part 8): Stamp on-the-spot

Eyra did the job of stamping the sites we visited. It's surely nothing of interest for adults. Sure..who would?

But, for kids...and for easy-going-foreigners like us...this is a kind of trivial stuff that we find 'why-not-if-it-is-fun!!! 

There are still many places that we should have visited. But..the tour does not cover all places...we just went to the some of the most-visited places.

Gyeongju City Tour (part 7): Bulguksa Temple (part 2)!

Still with the pagoda within the Bulguksa Temple. 

The green trees as the backdrop of the temple boosted the contrasting grey color of the temple. Apart from that, it symbolizes the summer's just begun. 

One more click on the Dabodap (or the Dabo pagoda). I am not sure what it symbolizes but....it had something to do with the Buddha reaching an enlightenment and riding the tower of many treasures.... 

Some say that it looks feminine....??hmm.it's the first time that a pagoda does reflect female/male representation...

One more and more click, but this time...right on the stairs....self camera... 

We're going inside deeper into the labyrinth of the temple... 

and found our way out...and got these stone-covered walls or.. 

wait..could it be that the whole stones serve as the upper foundation? 

heading towards the entrance and ....ready to get back to the bus... 

only to sit again on the very spot where others could be waiting for us...

Finally, we met with on Wawan and tante Ulfa. What a coincidence. We thought they're already back in the bus. 

So, let's ask someone to take our picture....
