Busan: Last Day in Busan, and Back to Seoul

Another shot of the Daejeongdae beach. A splendidly spectacular view of the beach. A  deliberately slanted view of the beach to give it an unusual perspective...and THAT...if it even worked...^^

On our way down the hill toward the parking lot after visiting Daejeongdae. Though it may not be that clear....far beyond ...the seaport city of Busan was visible. I just wanted to say that this so-called Daejeongdae was practically situated on a slope of the hills...

..that's why visitors were going up and down the hills should they want to enjoy the view.

But what I mostly remembered was how blue the sky on that day.

With Ms. Kim M.S. who was kind enough to take us around Busan and its vicinity. 

What would a Busan Trip without having to go to Jagalchi market where most of the fish and seafood are freshly or dried sold. ^^

In that sense in mind, we went to a market selling all kinds of fish products. Well, we just bought ojingo or dried squids and anchovies.(?).

Right before leaving Busan, we had lunch at China Town. It looked so empty, right? I did not know why. It surely says that this place was  and is...the place for foreigners..but I did not see many of them. Oh, well..maybe it was not the right time to visit? Anyhow, I managed to capture a pic. of my wife in front of one of the many gates gearing towards China Town. Oh, for anyone who might be wondering as to where it was, it is located just in front of the Busan Station. 

Now..we are on board KTX train. The fastest train on the peninsula or in the world? Its speed  boasts as fast as 300 km/hour. What? Yes, the electronic signboard inside the train indeed showed that fact. But, as soon as it reached 300 km/hour it slowed a bit into 299, 298,297..or I could say that this train runs at the average of 290 km/hour. 

That's the reason as to why it takes only 2.5 hours from Busan to Seoul. (remember my story of taking Mugunghwa train that took us almost 6 hours from Seoul to Busan?)

So, this train indeed speeds up the activities and goods & people's exchanges inside the Peninsula. 

As for us, it saved us ...some energy and valuable time, though frankly speaking.....it did not help us whatsoever in saving some money. ^^hahahahahaha.

Finally got back safely in Seoul. 

Lots of families with their children were on the same compartment as we were. Guess, weekend trip in intercity train like this speed KTX train ...to some extent.....does help boost the tourism industry in Korea.

Busan: Family Trip (part 6)

Daejeongdae: An islet visible from an observatory deck on top of the cliff. The blue sky and ocean mesmerized anyone who would see it. The horizon seemed to get dispersed...

Mommy and her two daughters...at the very spot where most people would take picture whenever they visit this famous Daejeongdae...

Plus ..their Daddy, too..this time.

Highlights of Night Tour...

Daejeongdae tour at night. we came very late at about 7 pm just when the sun was about to set.^^ But, we still could see the glimpse of its dusky sky....

Eyra and Freya were mimicking the freshly breathed air...splashing onto their face...^^

The moon started to emerge in the dark blue sky ....overlooking the beachfront temple (unseen).

We had dinner at this very peculiarly delicious place. Yes, this place boasted itself by having its signboard that says ' There is absolutely no other restaurant in this world that serves better suntubu than we do' Well, something like that^^ 

I had to admit that the suntubu here was delicious^^

Going back to Busan through Diamond Bridge....drenched in lights at night.

Dynamic Busan (part9)

We were still at Taejeongdae. I would say that this was the first-hand experience of being hurdled and swamped on a boat in an open sea. (well, I exaggerated it a bit..),but, to some extent it was true. After a 30-minute boat ride, we docked at rocky cliffs where a majestic lighthouse was visible. Up we went towards it. See the blue sea down under?

After a rigorous 10-minute climbing to the lighthouse, we thought that we just might as well see it from afar. Nope, we got to walk climb through it. See the loop towering up?

Matthew waived his hands as I captured him walking up the stairs. Nice day, er, Matthew? I also saw Bahar right up front. The others, either already got to the top or just about to embark on it.

Phew, this was a pretty amazing sight that I captured through my tiny lenses of my smartphone. The rock there seemed to be cut off or just trimmed neatly. It was like seeing a remarkable result of a sharp knife's work. It must've taken millions of years to form that one. I heard that historically speaking....it was the very place where Korean people warded off Japanese from entering their land. 

This was another angle from where I stood. A cliff overlooking an open sea...

Now, this was something that would never happened, had we--the Korea Brand Communicator--never been on a tour with Busan city's government intervention. Whatever that was, we were so lucky to be able to get an insider's look of what a lighthouse's light was like. ^^ I mean, who would've thought that we were allowed to sneak and take a verrrry close look at it. Pretty amazing experience at Taejeongdae.

The last shot that I took while we were about to be back on board a yuramseon or a boat that would take us back to Busan. ^^
