A Castle @ Night with no Knights

 

A late post on our trip to Lotte World with my wife's sisters who visited Seoul last year (2014).

Brightly light castle...so bright indeed that we couldn't even see ourselves 

The backlight was too strong...that we moved ourselves to be exposed to the lights surrounding us as a way to get ourselves spotted on. 

Now..that's better.  

 

We barely had time to see everything that the Lotte World's 25th anniversary celebration offered.

Getting in Touch with Eyra and Freya

I was in Kediri for a week..while my daughters were in Seoul. Yup..that left me with one option to meet them live..via Skype. So, we're skype-ing...to see how Eyra and Freya were doing.

The first thing that we saw was that Autumn had begun indeed. The leaves of the trees at the back of our apartment ..changed their colors. 

and..then...Freya showed up. Yes..we loved Skype-ing since it helped me connect and communicate wherever we are.

The next few hours...afterwards...I was out with my Mom..going on adventure ..searching for the dolphin and Kero Keropi-shaped rings!

Yes..we got to go from gold shop after shop just to find the particular rings that the kids wanted. 

It's a tedious job...but..did we find them?

Yup, we did. Not one..but two for each.

One Gold, One Silver. Not bad for a one-hour shopping spree. 

They looked cute and it's a good thing that Eyra and Freya loved them.

Took the pictures and showed them via Skype...

Off we went home..in the middle of drizzling...passing through a street where I used to go when we're still kids...the very place where we went for a swim. Yes, this is Kuwak area...where our favorite swimming pool was located. 

Oops...we stopped by to find some more snacks to bring back to Seoul.^^

This one is the infamous maicih snack ....the level 10 on its HOTNESS...I mean spicy-ness(?) 

Back home...we're ready for another selfie and skype-ing... 

Indeed, we loved it here.

Private Home Theater @ Nami Island

Not many people noticed that there's this theater that plays movies for children all day long. 

So...it just so happened that we went into this building and while we sneaked into the room to see what that was..it turned out to be a movie theater... 

So, the kids just sat down there....enjoying a "respite" after a long day of walking in Nami island with flocks of people that could've driven us mad.^^ 

so. the kids sort of liked it. Oh, they're watching the Lion King..(an alternate version of Lion King, sort of).

We had lunch at (again..and again) our favorite restaurant: Seven Springs @ Youido.

Little Parade in the Rain

Parade of exactly the same umbrella....

Yes..lots of the kids were bringing along the umbrella they got from a company that visited the school the previous day.

Eyra, too, was bringing her own.

Autumn rain...somewhat accentuated the 'breezing cold' of autumn wind. 

Then...off I ventured off into another section of a street in Seoul... 

only to find that even bushes of plants growing on the fences had turned into colors!!!

A Window into North Korea for Commuters

At Dolgoji station line 6 where we always take as a transfer station whenever we go to campus or school, there is this small exhibits on the North Korea and the history of Korea-South dynamic (to tone it down!) relation. 

Passers-by could just see and read the inscription or explanation about the pictures as they are displayed.

It's one of the ways Subway line 5,6,7, 8 gives extra service to Seoulites.

We're the Big Family of UT Korea: Autumn Semester 2014

@ The meeting venue where we have our lunch and meeting every Sunday. 

For some of us, this is the last meeting with students and other tutors before we meet again next year on Spring semester. That's why.....during lunch time today (Oct. 19, 2014) we managed to take a picture of not-yet-the-whole-group of tutors. 

Only some of us happened to be present on the 4th floor where our meeting venue is located. It so happened that we just wanted to have a group picture. 

Without further ado, we grabbed some chairs and the girls voluntarily or (automatically?) sat on the first row while we (the boys) were, surely, right behind them. 

From Rere to Febrina...

From Pak Saiful Islam to Cresti... 

We're all students who fight for the best to teach and 

learn along the way together with our fellow students of UT Korea. 

What a great day it has been.

Indeed, a day to remember.

A moment to cherish.
