Samsung Galaxy S4

This is the 4th S4 that I bought. Nooo...not for me...but for my sisters. Yup...a whole bunch of us using the same gadget...simply for its relatively inexpensive price....especially after the sought-after and long-awaited Samsung Galaxy 6 is coming. 

It has everything that I need..well...almost.^^

And...oh...it's a second-hand one. ㅋㅋㅋ

I lost my phone once...on a taxi ...since then I decided to buy used phones.

and....Samsung Galaxy 4 has been truly such a pal.♡♡♡♡♡

A Special Gift from A Friend

After a two-month encounter with ( --let's just call him 'pak Park:)" we had to say goodbye to each other. Well, he had to go to Jakarta where he had to work in his new branch office.

I met him since he wanted to learn and know more about Indonesia prior to his departure to Jakarta as his new base. 

And on the day he left, he gave me this token of friendship. I did not know that he put so much effort in making sure that this gift is special.

And indeed. 

For me it is really something since he gave me a pen with my name engraved on it.  

"terima kasih banyaaaak!!!!" 

Wait...what are these things doing in this entry. Hm..let's see...I guess these are the stuffs that I brought back home to Indonesia last week (the end of March) when I visited my home for a week.  

Waterman....I did not know this brand..but...what's more precious is the effort my friend put into the whole package of the pen he gave me.

It may be nothing special for some people, but for me...it IS a special gift. 

Smartphones? Well, they were ..in their era...^.^

2004: no smartphones. phones which are smart? Well, who would have thought that technology could just develop in a blink of an eye...

Nokia 3210 with its famous tagline: 'begitu kecil, begitu cerdas'(?) "so small, yet smart'

Now...we may laugh at it when we remembered that this particular phone dared to call itself 'smart' ell, they were smart in their era. 

Then, there were Siemens, and Samsung as I show right here.. See how small they were back then. 

I was using the Nokia, my wife was using the Samsung and then...the Siemens was for both of us, just in case. I loved the old Nokia since we could change its casing to suit our mood of the day.^^ what a way to lure the consumers back then. And I bought it.:)

Then...I brought the hand-phone to Sundak beach ...

What a lovely day that day...^^. Just a small act to keep the memories linger on

Home Sweet Home in Jogjakarta (Part 2)

One of the little things that I miss is of course our little front-yard. Oh, I remembered my motorbike, too. Gosh, I think that was my Honda Karisma^^. The first motorbike I bought with my own salary. That lovely motorbike had been my dear fellow who accompanied me going back and forth: home - office - home. Purwo-UGM-Purwo. 

Then....one of the wonders that I loved most was the time when sunset came. We could literally and physically watch sunset every day. If we want to. That's the best part of living in a suburb of Jogjakarta where most of the houses (well back then:)...were surrounded (still) by greenery. I wonder what happens now. Well, for those living in the northern part of the city..it may still be true. I do hope so. 

Then...the little bell or I don't know what that is, though. Is it wind-tingling-bell? :) hehehe. Anyway..I had it hung in front of the house so as to let us know should someone come to our door . or ...the mere breeze of air or wind struck it...and generated some sound (which was) soothingly cool as I recollect. 

This is what I mean. We loved decorating our home with flowers. Sure, it did need a lot of patience and attentions. But..boy..it was a worth-it investment in making our home look homy. 

Back to my menagerie....I just want to dedicate this entry for our beloved old hand-phones: Nokia and Samsung. They were like...parts of the family back then. Sure...

My mother visited us. She came from Kediri (East Java)...and I remember her visiting us every now and then...I love her very much. I am praying that she is healthy and is always surrounded and blessed with love. Amen.  

Back to the sofa that I loved. I think this picture was taken at around dusk time. Just got back from work...parked my motorbike just right in front of the door. ^.^..then...a relaxing time came along...

I just cannot wait to be back to Jogjakarta again. Guess I have to wait for another 2 years (around 2015). Now..I am studying in Seoul and Bismillahirrohmanirrohim...I am going back again to Jogjakarta after graduating from my school in Korea. 

For the meantime: Thank you my home sweet home in Jogjakarta.
