yep...from the used-to-be watergate at Dongdaemun, the towering fashion district is distinctively visible.

...an elevator is spotted!

Yup..it's colorfully lighted.

to give it a stark contrast to this underground watergate from where I took this picture.

Turning my back, I could see some parts of Dongdaemun Design Plaza.

An alien spacecraft and arched stone bridge.

The mixture of modern~traditional feel around the complex.

The lighting designed to highlight the depth did enhance the night view.

SEOUL Design Works of Arts @ DDP ep. 2

We're intrigued to see what's inside the imaginatively~intertwined rectangular pipes!

Each angle post its own uniqueness.

Despite the fact that it's difficult to decipher its conceptual meaning...

we're trying our best to...well...go.along.with the fluidity of the exhibits.

once again.....let's see inside the pipe...!

Freya surely got her hands...eyes....and mind busy as to what's to make of all those pictures inside the pipes.

as for me....capturing the moment is way more precious^^

DDP's Architecture Design Show ep.1

DDP ~ Dongdaemun Design Plaza's "wonder" stairs.

We're there just in time when an exhibition was being held. Even, we could freely enjoy the time by touching all the exhibits!

These are chairs.!!

 When you find those chairs stacked...upwards, well they're called "stacked up chairs"

it's like you're in a different art/design mash'up.

everything is worth-watching ....simply great...

why...wow...how

ok..it's time to explore some more.

Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), 2014

The 2nd time visiting DDP, this time with my wife's sisters who came to Seoul for a short visit. 

Night time is the best time to enjoy the festivities @ DDP. 

Seoul bathed in lights! 

Especially with the lights emanating from each grid of the DDP...it all looked like a giant spacecraft out of a futuristic science fiction movie. 

lights...from above and below....everywhere we went to... 

What's those light beams for? 

Oh, we're just in time when a live TV show called Seoul fashion awards was being held.. 

gosh..the commotion. 

The DJ's playing....and the crowds cheering. 

we couldn't handle the too much festivities with the kids around..so we might as well..avoid the crowd..

Socks!!! and...they do come in colors!!! 

Street vendors around Dongdaemun...and one of them is socks and socks and socks...in cheap prices. 

Yes...these socks sum up what we think of this place.
