Gangnam Station (DX Line): part 3!!!

Now I see more and more people coming in...
see how spotlessly clean the station is!!!
the DX Line subway just arrived. I managed to take a snapshot of it just before the doors closed...
Back again onto the passengers' platform, once again I couldn't get enough of taking pictures. I mean..it doesn't do any justice to the real feel of being there.
The lighting seemed to be perfectly tuned with the soft theme....
and I bumped into another piece of art made of I didn't know what...
are those balls? yes..definitely yes...in different sizes and colors.
Just arrange them in such a way to make a cool rendition of what supposed to be a colorful dots in 3D.
If you think getting around the station with those works of arts is not enough, try getting in touch with the larger-than-life ad. This time, it's G-Dragon's ad about their newly released album Coup d'etat
Or walk yourself through the walking escalator while enjoying the ever-changing displays of TVs portraying imaginative works of arts.
and..what would Gangnam be without any mention of its (in)famous plastic surgery? So, on one of the escalators' walls were posted plastic surgery ads all the way up or down the stairs.
Finally...I arrived at the line 2 (green line) which I got to transfer to.
Even this line 6 seemed to have also undergone massive transformation in its advertisement. Or was it me who's been for quite a long time not going to Gangnam area...so I didn't know all of these? hmmm maybe.
I mean..the whole advertisements are displayed on huge screens attached on every pillar (all pillars) inside the platform.
I wouldn't have taken the pictures had them be dead-neon ads.
They kept on moving and changing, for they're actually LCD displays.
Well, this is something different I found the other day on the subway's ad.
It's about the co-joint event:
Seoul & Berlin Going Underground in International Subway Film Festival.
where? what? how? when? should I watch them?
* answer right here, Suray--->............................

Gangnam Station (DX Line) - part 2: Is it a PSY-gallery or Subway Station?

BOTH. Yes, at a first glance it is unmistakenly the (in)famous Gangnam.
Gangnam station which means 'south of the river (han river)' is made even more popular by PSY.
So, I was not that surprised to see how this newly built Gangnam station, especially the one linked to DX line--the newest subway line--in Seoul, was decorated in such a way that it felt more like it was a dedicated venue for PSY in the public space such as this.
There is this huge picture(?), painting(?); works of art?=definitely; or simply a needed stance of appreciation to PSY?, well, not sure which one, but this surely is seen as a piece of art dedicated to Psy.
This Gangnam station (DX Line) is so luckily transformed into a gallery of art and a gallery of advertising. the latter seemed to fit into the category.
But does it mean a bad thing? Nope. On the other hand, the interior design and concept of how the advertising adds up the beauty or charms of the station are something that should be appreciated. I love how the lighting and the angle of where to put the ads were put into consideration.
It's like an art installation on the go.
Yes, the neon-bulb ads on each pillar at the station only generates more charms than churns.^^
and now..back to PSY's gallery at the station. I could assure you (well, at least to myself) that..indeed PSY has helped transformed how the station should be (at least) the mirror to what PSY was referring to in his music video.
Everyone around the globe was talking about it so much so that the station 'immortalized' his figure in style.
people come and go and of course...for first timers like myself...would not pass the chance go by unnoticed.
And I happened to be someone who did.
So, care to join us go explore more on this?

PSY: Postal Stamp Edition

PSY's phenomenon has really been a huge hit and seems that its viral sensation has yet to cease..or it will never be.
Just recently I found a PSY edition of postal stamp.
This one is nicely framed on a red glowing frame with two different stamps with PSY picture on them.
Even the packaging itself is intriguingly eye-catching.
So...anyone would want to have some?
Grab them while they last...^^ (pun intended)~.`

Seoul City Hall Event

I was walking through the City Hall or 시청 right in downtown Seoul en route to President Hotel to meet one student of mind who was in Seoul for a seminar. Upon walking through it, I found an event, I wished I'd known what it was.

But I spotted some soldiers or those related to Korea's security or homeland security. I guess it must've had something to do with that.
Even, Rain was scheduled to hold a concert there--did not know as to whether he did show up since I did not have a chance to take a look.
Anyhow, I just want to point out that this huge area of City Hall has been the very venue that has printed its historical traces as the place where thousand of 'Red Devil' or 'Be The Reds' supporters gathered during the 2002 Korea - Japan World Cup.
And..recently, it accommodated approximately 80,000 people to witness PSY's Eoppa Gangnam Style's free concert for his fans.
