@ Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali: Departure to Incheon, Korea

It's around 9.30 pm Bali time and along with Putu, our guide for today, we finally arrived at Bali airport..ready to depart to Korea.Thank you, Putu. 

The last time I went to Bali, this terminal was still under development..but now..this new modern terminal greeted us. 

Since it's new, I got to make sure that I knew where to go for our smooth departure to Korea. It's comparatively bigger compared to the previous one. 

But..first thing first, we got to re-arrange our cabin baggage:-) 

Ready for departure.... 

Before immigration process, we had a chance to look around and...well.. 

we needed to have our dinner....^^ 

Indonesian nasi goreng and well...what the kids loved...**

Bye-bye, Indonesia. See you again next year. Amin.

Kuta Beach Walk, Bali

We're back to Kuta Beach Walk after having spent an afternoon on the beach. Since it's already night time, we saw different facade of the mall...not quite what we experienced during the day. 

Once again, though it may look modern, the essence of it all was still a traditional feel of Balinese style. 

Let's take a pose to capture the moment, gals.

The girls found frangipani flowers fell off from the trees....they picked them up and got an idea of floating them on a pond. 

I wonder where they got the idea of doing that...but I guess it's a cool thing to do while waiting for guide to pick us up. 

Eyra, too, was also taking her chance of floating her newly found frangipani. 

It's simple and free...and the girls found their way of having fun. 

So this is what it looked like when the night sky loomed in. 

Just a few meters away from the sandy beach, Beach Walk really caters the need of anyone who wants to have a relaxing time in Kuta.

Kuta Beach

 

It passed sunset time..and yet we did not move from the beach. All of our luggage were in the car and most of them are at the airport so we did not have any clothes to change..:) and no hotel to go to...since we got to wait for another 5 hours before our plane departed to Korea. 

So..we stayed put at the beach and let the girls play with the sand. 

gosh..we must've been crazy to let them play with the sand though we knew for sure that we got to wait until we arrived at the airport to change our clothes:-)

But..that's the road trip or transit trip we had in Bali.

Kuta Beach (part 1)

 

Finally, a family picture again @ Kuta Beach. Hmm..the cloudy afternoon let us spend the afternoon without any sunset picture:-) but, that's fine. 

We could still enjoy the beach, though. 

What I mean by 'WE" is Freya and Eyra who were busy playing with the sand. 

and..they did not stop playing....though they knew that they had no clothes to change. 

but...she did not budge. 

Freya was even more serious in playing in the sand. 

And the dusk set in. 

Still..they didn't even budge or bother...getting up to go. Gosh....

Kuta: Its Beach & Beach Walk

Yes, we came to Kuta again. It's our 2nd time to visit Bali and what would a Bali visit be without a visit to Kuta.  

With its white sand that stretches more than 1.5 km...but I guess..it's longer than that. anyway....although there are much more beautiful beaches like Dreamland...Kuta is still one of the tourists' favorites, especially as THE place to catch the sunset.

So..along the sunset boulevard, there is one newly opened mall that is getting lots of attention from both locals and visitors: Kuta Beach Walk. 

We want to freshen up ourselves before having a splash at the beach. This mall has an open-air concept that combines natural beauties and modern landscapes. but, first...we got to go back to the beach...^^ 

Dejavu...we're here like 4 years ago..and here we are! 

The same pose we had 4 years ago..but the only difference is that Eyra and Freya are grown up.^^ 

but...the sand-castle making thing...is The SAME.!! 

"ajeossi...what are you doing back there?" oh, well....

We miss the sun and warmth of summer already. ㅋㅋㅋ

Monkey Forest, Bali: An Enchanting Sacred Forest for Simian Families (part 3)

Bali is also dubbed as island of gods...island of temples. No wonder that even within the forest we'd encountered two temples with different architecture although in essence they're typically Balinese.  

Prior to entering this sacred temple, we're requested to wear sarongs or any attire symbolizing we're part of the temple... so as to 'respect' the temple.  

Now we saw one simian family on the ground. Freya was still terrified to see that monkeys did roam and walk around us. It's a new experience for her, of course. 

The archetype of the temple we visited within the forest was Balinese dragon or snakes. 

Even the pedestal of this temple was fully covered in snake-form carved stones.

This forest with its temple inside really held the spirit of its existence. I wonder if the monkeys are some kinds of guards of the forest as well as the temples. And I think that's what makes it even more enchanting. 

As the name suggests, apart from being a home to hundreds of simian families, the forest is also full of statues celebrating the lives of monkeys in every gesture and manners imaginable as well as the unimaginable ones. 

Like this one!!! wow..what a sight! a spectacle only to be found in Bali. 

...and all shapes of simian statues to respect the harmony of nature and gods.
