We got two packs of paprika from our friend in Gyeongsangbukdo. Wow.

so...to make the best of them...we sort of make anything with these colorful fruits?vegetables.

One of them....is having them sliced and deep fried.

Best served with chili sauce.^^

One Full Night & Day Activities in Jogjakarta

A very late post about what I did in November 2014 when I had a chance to visit Jogjakarta.

First, we had a welcoming dinner for the delegation from Korea, all seminar presenters and delegation from Gyeongsangbuk Province. 

It was indeed a great dinner...for me, too, for sure. 

The Balairung is the venue where we had our dinner. 

Indeed, it was a great sight to behold. 

Then, we had a seminar on Korean culture. At the same time, there were parallel seminars being held at other parts of the Main Building. As for the cultural sessions, like any sections, there were panelists from Korea and Indonesia, of course. 

Me, Dr. Kim Young-Soo, Ms. Rura, Dr. Eva, Ms. Min, Ms. Hwang, and Mr. Tri Mastoyo... 

Long story shORT....we had a farewell dinner...at Bale Raos...a restaurant within the complex of Jogjakarta Sultanate.

I wished we'd had our dinner at the outdoor section, but it's fully booked.

Instead..we got no other choices but having to go inside....oh, well..I'd rather not post the pictures.^^

Strawberries Farm

Winter, December, 2014. A good time to hang out in an open air farms? Not quite.

But..with such a breathtaking sky and snow-capped mountain beyond?

who could resist it? 

I coudn't. At least..I held on my firm belief that there must be something good I could learn out of it. 

Well, yes. At least..I took a closer look into the farm of one of Korea's sought-after strawberries. 

and I meant it. I could go from one vinyl house to another...in which each step of how the magic is being done...to give us a delectable strawberry ever grown in Korea, at least. or the world? 

These are still 'babies' in the making. I am not sure that they're ready to be harvested/picked up, though. 

This looks so trivial. But..after I got into the inside of it..I did admire a lot of work being poured into 'growing' the strawberries that I only thought of 'buying and eating' them without any prior knowledge ..let alone admiration to the so much work put into it. 

Yes...I came with little expectation..but then..

I came out...with....a gratitude in mind.

what a splendid experience it had been.

Deliriously Sweet Strawberries!!!

Santa and Redbell strawberries. 

Yes..I got a chance to visit the very place where these sparking sweet strawberries are grown or created. 

I did not know that strawberries could be this dazzling. 

Of course, we got a chance to meet the pioneers who managed to 'bring' these strawberries into the market. 

and..the best part was when we got a chance to visit how this strawberry research center did their magic. 

attentively we listened to every explanation.... 

as for me...while listening...I wouldn't miss a chance to take some snaps here and there. 

winter snap does not hinder the scientists from 'creating' and 'harvesting' the strawberries. 

Those vinyl houses warmed up the temperature in such a way that Santa strawberries are possible to be enjoyed during winter...in fact it is in winter that strawberries are in their highest degree of sweetness.
