We love Roti Boy. Yes, every week we used to have one or two at home whenever we when shopping to the mall back home in Jogjakarta. But, since we moved to Seoul, we rarely have them. Actually, there are numerous outlets in Seoul, but I think they're just simply plain and different. Shouldn't franchise stores have the same standard of taste and even smell? BUT, NOT the ones in Korea. I don't know why.
Back home, the smell of Roti Boy can be smelled^^ from kilometers away (exaggerating!!!!). But, the point was that...its main appeal is supposed to be its mile-away allure to attract us to buy this BUN.^^
So, when my wife told me that she would try to make these BUNS at home, we -- me and the kids--couldn't have been more pleased.
After waiting for about 2 hours, ...they're DONE.
so..the verdict: ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 역시 the real Roti Boy is better.
Mama, sorry...but she admitted herself that there must be some 'secret' ingredients that make it special in itself.
Or, since it was our first try out? Okay...let's make some others ...some other time.
But, thank you Mama for trying.
The texture itself is so alluringly and believably Roti Boy, right?
So..in that point, "way to go, Mama"
