On a bright sunny Saturday, May 4, we went to Goyang to see the much talked about Goyang City's 600th Celebration. ..
With 4 tickets in hands...we're ready to enter. The ticket was (just?) 5,000 Won.^-^
Let's have a group picture (minus me:) first. We went there with mbak Ulfa and her husband, om Wawan. It's been like months since the last time we went out together.
Now it's our turn, with me in it.
The 2-hour ride from Seoul to Goyang by subway really took us by surprise...that we said to ourselves ...that we ought to make the best of our time there.
W: the first alphabet of 'Welcome'--made of stacked flowers greeted us.
The 'C' & 'O' of the 'Welcome' flower beds were also big enough to be overseen.
What's not to like...
One thing: we didn't expect to have to walk for about 1.5 km to get into the entrance. Even the "Welcome" flower gate where we took the picture earlier was not even close to the main gate.^^ Oh, well...we could enjoy what it had to offer prior to entering the gate, though.
See the huge half-ball over there? and all the flags wavering over there?
First, there were lots of tents where we could see and experience cultural-stuffs mainly from vendors or sponsors.
Eyra, mbak Ulfa, and Freya: let's take this Half-Giant-Ball which turned out to be the CVS-for-you convenience store!!!
