It's Spring and the spring shower was accompanying us when we arrived at Dongguk University on Saturday afternoon (April 6). The Indonesian students association in South Korea (PERPIKA) held a simultaneous meeting at three different places across Korea (Seoul, Daejeon, Busan) and we did have sessions via Skype to check out what others were doing.
As for us in Seoul, we held the 1st gathering @ Dongguk University.
It wouldn't have been an Indonesian students gathering, had there been no Indonesian-taste like this Padang's Fan Dance performed by our fellow students--members of KTTI (Kelompok Tari Tradisional Indonesia 'Indonesian Traditional Dance Group).
They've been enthusiastically embracing the culture by practicing and performing live dances in front of audiences both Korean and international audiences.
There were as many as 150 students attending this gathering. Not many showed up as we'd expected, but still we did have some fun...especially...we needed to brush up ourselves on what to do in the heating or at times 'seemingly' escalating situation on the peninsula, especially as 'blown up' by the media.
We just hope that things are just fine.
After all, we all some peace on wherever we are.
